Key Responsibilities

• Deliver all lessons using the school’s provided materials
• Mark all assigned pupil work promptly and professionally
• Administer assessments according to school guidelines
• Maintain a clean, organised, and engaging classroom environment
• Provide constructive written feedback in pupils’ books and communicate effectively with parents
• Work professionally under the direction of the Curriculum Director.

Essential Requirements

For your application to be considered, you must meet all of the following criteria:

• Female applicants only
• Must be resident in Ibadan and live within reasonable commuting distance of Jericho, Ibadan
• B.Ed in Primary Education Studies or B.Sc./B.A with PGDE from a reputable institution
• Minimum of 3 years post-graduation experience teaching in a structured primary school setting
• TRCN certification is an added bonus
• Strong classroom management skills and excellence in teaching core subjects: English, Mathematics, and Science.
• Ability to teach a broad range of primary subjects
• Confident use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email
• Ability to adopt the school’s handwriting scheme and write legibly
• Ability to adopt the school’s handwriting scheme and model clear, legible writing
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to create and maintain high-quality classroom displays
• Consistently high expectations for pupil behaviour, academic progress, and attainment
• Solid knowledge of assessment, learner tracking, and effective feedback strategies
• Clear understanding of safeguarding procedures and best practices in education
• Sound knowledge of effective teaching methods and a commitment to continuous improvement
• Willingness to follow the school’s curriculum by using only scapproved lesson materials.
