    Fabricator / Welder

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our team.
    • The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding various metal structures and components used in building materials and heavy equipment repairs.
    • The role requires precision, safety consciousness, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
    • Fabricate, assemble, and weld metal structures and components according to specifications.
    • Use welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, and ARC welders for structural fabrication and repair.
    • Operate cutting machines, grinders, and other fabrication tools effectively.
    • Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools.
    • Inspect welded surfaces and structures to ensure quality standards are met.
    • Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations during all work processes.
    • Work closely with other team members to meet production deadlines and project goals.
    • Repair and reinforce vehicle and machinery frames, containers, and platforms as needed.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

    Job Requirements

    • Minimum of SSCE / WAEC with relevant technical training or Trade Test Certificate in Welding and Fabrication.
    • Proven work experience (3 - 5 years) as a fabricator/welder in a construction, building materials, or manufacturing environment.
    • Strong knowledge of different welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.).
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements accurately.
    • Experience working with structural steel, iron, and aluminum is an added advantage.
    • Good physical strength and stamina to handle welding equipment and materials.
    • Must have knowledge of and adhere to occupational health and safety standards.
    • Certifications from recognized technical institutions or NABTEB is an advantage.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision and willingness to work overtime when required.

    Preferred Attributes:

    • Good teamwork and communication skills.
    • Reliable and responsible with a strong work ethic.
    • Attention to detail and quality-focused.
    • Familiar with fabrication for vehicle frames and body components (especially for trucks and heavy-duty vehicles).
