Consultancy Terms of Reference for the Development of a National Guideline on Women and Girls’ Empowerment for Optimal Nutrition at Civil Society Scaling-Up Nutrition in Nigeria (CS-SUNN)

Purpose of Assignment

The purpose of this assignment is for the consultant to come up with the Guidelines that will both enable and enhance women and girls' empowerment for optimal nutrition in Nigeria. This will cut across sectors/policies addressing specifically the empowerment needs of women and girls, such as would enhance their access to optimal Nutrition.

The consultant will:

1. Develop a zero draft of the National Guideline on Women and Girls Empowerment for Optimal Nutrition
2. Present the zero draft to stakeholders in an Inception meeting, facilitate the review collation of inputs
3. Clean up the first draft for presentation to Stakeholders in a second meeting
4. Facilitate finalization and validation of the document
5. Clean the document up for printing.

Delivery time:

The consultancy duration is 35 days.

Expected Outputs

By the end of the assignment, the following outputs will be expected:

•  National Guideline for Women and Girls’ Empowerment for optimal nutrition in Nigeria developed
• PowerPoint presentation with an infographic on the Guidelines for advocacy engagement.

Type of Consultants Required

The consultant should have extensive knowledge of the Nigerian health/Nutrition systems, with experience in Policy Development and Analysis, especially on women and girls' nutrition-related services and livelihood support projects. An advanced degree in Human Nutrition, Agri-business, Health Economics, or any other related discipline is compulsory.
