    Communications Specialist

    Job Functions

    • As Communications Specialist, you will manage all internal and external communication of the company and represent Redwire to the outside world.
    • You will draft media statements, answer media inquiries, compile publications, plan events and press conferences and ensure effective communication and relationship between stakeholders, media, and the public.

    Specific Job Functions include:

    • Develop and implement an intuitive and effective communication strategy for the company
    • Write weekly thought leadership articles
    • Conduct in-depth research and develop content for multiple platforms, such as websites, email marketing, newspaper, videos and social media for the company and clients
    • Develop and coordinate PR campaigns, events (open days, press conferences, exhibitions and press tours) and media relations
    • Prepare PR reports and manage PR issues
    • Collaborate with the team and maintain communication with all stakeholders
    • Seek opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising
    • Track media coverage and follow industry trends
    • Monitor the media and respond to enquiries
    • Stay up to date with local, national, and international affairs
    • Identify clients’ needs and recommend new content to address gaps in the company’s current content
    • Evaluate results of communication campaigns with the team.
    • Support the Marketing Team in developing content for plans, campaigns, events, exhibitions, workshops, and other projects
    • Utilize industry best practices and familiarize with the organization’s vision and mission to inspire ideas and content.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, PR, English, Journalism, or related field
    • 4+ years of relevant work experience in Corporate Communications, Public Relations & Marketing
    • Ability to develop PR strategies and campaigns
    • Ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders, media and the public
    • Proven writing experience with a portfolio of published Marketing articles and PR briefs
    • Content writing and Copywriting experience for multiple platforms• Passion for writing and content development
    • Excellent presentation, delivery and public speaking skills
    • Creative and Strategic Thinker
    • Media Awareness
    • High attention to detail.
    • Ability to work with a diverse team
    • Relating and networking skills.
    • Passionate, dynamic and proactive.
    • Life-long learner, hungry for personal growth.
