We are recruiting a seasoned CFO for a major African conglomerate to oversee financial strategy and performance of its packaging business unit.
Responsibilities
The role oversees finance operations, budgeting, treasury, cost control, reporting, compliance, and supports major operational and investment decisions.
Lead financial strategy, planning, and forecasting
Oversee financial reporting, controls, and compliance (IFRS)
Drive cost optimization and operational efficiency
Manage treasury, liquidity, tax, and cash flow
Strengthen procurement and supply chain finance
Lead ERP/finance system improvements and digital initiatives
Build and mentor a high-performing finance team
Support executive and board-level decision-making
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics (MBA/MSc a plus)
ACCA, ACA, CPA, or CFA qualification preferred
15+ years’ financial leadership experience, including 7+ years in senior roles
Strong background in manufacturing, packaging, industrial operations, or FMCG
Deep expertise in cost accounting, supply chain finance, and IFRS
Proven ability to drive financial transformation and lead large teams.
