    Chef

    Job Overview

    • We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef as part of our kitchen team, ensuring high-quality food preparation, efficient kitchen management, and adherence to health and safety regulations. 
    • The ideal candidate will be passionate about culinary arts, innovative in menu creation, and capable of leading a team in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality food production.
    • Develop and design creative, cost-effective menus that align with our brand and customer preferences.
    • Supervise food preparation and cooking, ensuring consistency, portion control, and adherence to recipes.
    • Maintain exceptional food presentation and plating standards.
    • Manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
    • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
    • Monitor inventory, control food costs, and minimize waste through efficient stock management.
    • Collaborate with restaurant management to implement seasonal menus and special event catering.
    • Stay updated with industry trends, new cooking techniques, and ingredient sourcing for menu improvements.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience as a Chef or Senior Cook in a restaurant, lounge, or hospitality setting.
    • Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, international cuisines, and food presentation.
    • Ability to manage kitchen staff and foster a collaborative team environment.
    • Exceptional time management, multitasking, and leadership skills.
    • Understanding of food costing, inventory management, and waste reduction strategies.
    • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, with certification in food handling (preferred).
    • Creativity in menu planning and a passion for high-quality cuisine.
    • Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
