Cake Baker and Decorator at Bake4Me Bakery

We are looking to hire a skilled cake baker and decorator to design and decorate cakes according to customers’ specifications and preferences.

Responsibilities

• Bake various kind of cakes according to our guidelines
• Decorate various cakes according to our guidelines
• Must be able to write beautifully on cakes is a MUST
• Ability to make and use whipped cream, buttercream, and cake fillings based on customer preferences.
• Ability to work with Swiss meringue buttercream and Ganache is a plus
• Ability to work with Fondants to create various designs is a plus.
• Ability to stack cakes for tiered cakes is a plus
• Ability to use and maintain various decorating instruments and tools.
• Have a keen sense of colors, trends and designs to create show-stopping cakes
• Creativity, attention to detail, and passion for baking.
• Taking stock of baking and decorating supplies routinely
• Cleaning and sanitizing work areas and decorating equipment immediately.

Requirements

• SSCE qualification
• 2-3 years experience preferred, however beginners with talent are also welcome to apply.
• Candidates must reside near Ikeja (accommodation might be available if you are one of the early applicants).
• Good Attitude to work, colleagues and management.
• Maintain personal hygiene, care and work within food safety guidelines
• Excellent time management skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Work from the office Monday to Saturday
• Must be able to work on some Sundays and holidays (based on your shift/roster)
• Willingness to work flexible hours
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
