    Cake Decorator

    Job Overview

    • In this role, you will be responsible for the final assembly and decoration of cakes according to precise brand specifications.
    • Your focus will be on speed, accuracy, and consistency to ensure every cake looks and tastes perfect, while adhering to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines.
    • This is a production-oriented role where creativity is expressed within a defined, branded framework.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Decorate a high volume of cakes, cupcakes, and dessert items according to standardized templates, diagrams, and portion guidelines.
    • Efficiently and consistently apply icings, buttercreams, fillings, and toppings using piping bags, spatulas, and other decorating tools.
    • Accurately reproduce branded designs, logos, and color schemes on cakes.
    • Perform precise writing with icing for standard messages (e.g., "Happy Birthday").
    • Monitor and maintain proper inventory levels of decorations, colors, and supplies at the decorating station.
    • Ensure all finished products meet established quality standards for appearance and presentation before packaging.
    • Strictly adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations (including proper glove usage, hair restraint, and hand washing).
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work station.
    • Operate and clean decorating equipment and tools.
    • Work collaboratively with the bakery team to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
    • Assist with basic bakery tasks as needed, such as simple cake assembly, packaging, and labeling.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • Experience: Prior experience in cake decorating, preferably in a high-volume bakery, grocery store bakery, or food production environment.

    Skills:

    • Demonstrated ability to decorate cakes quickly and consistently.
    • Proficiency in basic piping techniques (stars, shells, borders, writing).
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    • Ability to follow standardized procedures and visual guides exactly.
    • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
    • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
    • Basic understanding of food safety.
