    Bakery Sales Manager

    The Sales Manager is to strategize on how to achieve planned sales turnover/target, market coverage and merchandising objectives through regular visits, superior customer service and excellence in execution to all potential and existing sales outlets, distributors or individual customers.

    Must be ready to push our brand to become a known brand within and outside the territory.

    Job Description

    • Responsible for customer contact, including pricing, contracting, and the prospecting and development of new accounts.
    • Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
    • Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships; partnering with distributors and individual customers to understand their business needs and complaints.
    • Development and execution of strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
    • Preparation and update of all required sales reports, statistical data, and customer information/feedbacks.
    • Plan and achieve the daily and monthly sales targets by ensuring complete and proper coverage within and outside the region
    • Ensure that all outlets/stores are visited in the correct sequence and that they are well stocked with all our various categories of bread
    • Develop sales and distribution plan in liaison with the Sales team, vertically by identifying and establishing business relationships with new customers and horizontally by introducing the full range of the products to existing customers
    • Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly activity report detailing the competitors’ activities; as well as any other information required by the Management.
    • Reflect high standards of performance in implementing the trade promotions and marketing activities that relate to routes and customers.
    • Carry out competitors survey while capturing relevant market intelligence & identify the existing and new routes and its development in accordance to the company norms
    • Strategically arranging bakery items in display cases to encourage customer purchases.
    • Resolving customer complaints in a professional manner.
    • Other duties as may be assigned.

    Requirements

    • A holder of a Degree/HND in Sales and Marketing or related field preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ sales and marketing experience in a Bakery.
    • Experience with computers and various Microsoft Office products.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Ability to work under time pressure and with problem-solving issues.
    • Good teamwork skills.
    • Ability to prioritize.
    • Must have deep passion for sales and marketing.
    • Good knowledge of product and capabilities.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills;
    • Good reporting and presentation skills
    • Exceptional customer service skills
    • Negotiation and persuasive ability.
    • Strong motivational, innovative, and interpersonal skills
    • Possession of professional marketing and sales qualification will be an advantage.
    • Knowledge of various routes and markets within Benin City will be an added advantage
    • Self-drive and ability to work with minimal supervision and result-oriented.
