Artistic Director at iRecruiters Africa Limited

• The Company is looking for an Artistic Director with a special interest in (Dance, Choreography and Routines) to lead the creative vision and artistic direction for the company, overseeing choreography, rehearsals, performances, and ensuring the artistic integrity of all productions, while also managing the company’s artistic resources/talent.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the creation and development of new choreography, working closely with choreographers and dancers.
• Direct and manage rehearsals, ensuring that dancers are well-trained and prepared for performances.
• Provide constructive feedback to dancers and choreographers to improve performance quality.
• Conduct auditions and select dancers, choreographers, and other artistic staff.
• Manage the company's artistic resources, including dancers, choreographers, and other staff.
• Provide mentorship and support to dancers and other artistic staff
• Oversee all aspects of dance performances, from pre-production to post-performance.
• Ensure that performances are technically sound and artistically compelling.
• Manage the schedule of performances and events.
• Develop and manage the artistic budget.
• Negotiate contracts and deals with vendors and partners.
• Ensure that the company's operations are running efficiently and effectively.

Key Requirements

• Minimum of a good first degree
• Extensive experience in dance, choreography, and performance.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of artists and staff.
• A passion for dance and the arts.
• A strong understanding of dance history, theory, and practice.
• Knowledge of dance styles and techniques.
• Experience in developing and implementing artistic programs and projects.
