DRASA is seeking a dynamic and motivated AMR Program Manager to join our team. This position will utilize technical, operational, and project management competencies in public health to provide technical assistance and support to lead DRASA’s AMR program and projects. The Program Manager will assist with the smooth operation of all activities in the technical area of AMR by leading the implementation teams, coordinating information and providing logistical support. You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of program-specific activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the scale-up and expansion of DRASA’s AMR portfolio/work
Manage the design, planning, implementation and evaluation of AMR projects and events
Support the implementation of Nigeria’s National Action Plan on AMR 2.0
Develop and maintain strong professional working relationships with all involved parties including coordination and interaction with government and non-governmental stakeholders
Lead and oversee project teams to support our AMR work
Represent DRASA at physical and/or virtual AMR events
Provide technical support, oversight and monitoring for project implementation
Oversee work plans, activities, timelines, budgets, reports and donor guidelines and requirements
Lead the development of program materials and deliverables including reports, manuscripts, success stories, newsletter/blog articles, presentations, and other documents as needed
Coordinate and plan AMR-related capacity-building activities for team members
Support other related program objectives and deliverables
Work with the Communications team to oversee program-related communications for the organization
Qualifications & Requirements
Master’s degree in public health or health-related field (nursing, medicine, veterinary medicine, microbiology, pharmacy, etc.) and 4-6 years of related work experience with proven experience in public health project management and program coordination
Experience with antimicrobial resistance (AMR) projects
Familiarity with national and global AMR action plans/frameworks
Strong project management experience including planning, initiating and delivering projects within agreed time frames
Proven ability to manage diverse project teams across varied locations
Relevant experience with program planning and coordination at the national or sub-national level working with public sector and NGOs
Demonstrable analytical, research and problem-solving capabilities
Proven ability to prepare and deliver accurate and impactful presentations and deliverables to technical and general audiences
Ability to handle multiple work streams simultaneously and work independently
Ability to initiate, foster, interact, and maintain relationships with diverse groups
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite/Workspace (cloud) tools
Excellent written and verbal communication
Strong knowledge of Nigeria’s human, animal and environmental health systems
