Agribusiness Manager at Green Space Farms (GSF)

The successful candidate will work with the General Manager  to carry out the following functions :

• To manage the farm to ensure a timely, consistent supply of raw material to the factory, within target cost parameters
• Analysing data to determine the best price to charge for our product based on market conditions, production costs, and other factors
• Agricultural Budgeting and Costing (Crops and Livestock) and new projects
• Oversee the agricultural, technical, finance and administrative teams towards meeting financial and operational targets for the business.
• Develop an annual budget for the farming business.
• Work with the finance team to manage the finances  of the business in line with the agreed budget
• Develop and execute an appropriate recruiting and team development plan in line with corporate objectives
• Ensure compliance with statutory obligations whilst ensuring ongoing and effective management of relationships with all external stakeholders
• Manage key farm-related stakeholder relationships in the best interest of the business
• Collate, analyse and present periodic operational and financial reports to management
• Providing advice and support to all farm managers in the field to help them improve their outputs
• Evaluating the economic impact of new technologies or government policies on the agriculture industry
• Developing and implementing plans to improve farm productivity and efficiency

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in : Agric Economics, Agribusiness , Business Admin  , Agric Engineering or any other related courses from a reputable educational institution
• Minimum of 4 years general management experience in a real sector, Agricultural operations management.
• Strong Finance/ Accounting Knowledge
• Strong Analytical Skills using

A background in agriculture, agribusiness management or supply chain management is will give you an edge / advantage
