Farm Veterinary Officer at Chi Farms Ltd.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

• Liaise with farm manager on vaccination regimes/programs for the farm and coordinate the routine implementation of all health care delivery programs.
• Coordinate all the implemntation of health program (Bio-security) vaccination and medication programs according to S.O.P. in such a manner as to eliminate adverse effects of drug incompatibility, resistance, or abuse to ensure medication efficiency in cost-benefit management.
• Plan all requirements for vaccines& veterinary pharmaceutical for the farm on a routine basis.
• Conduct daily proper diagnosis on carcasses and generate relevant reports for immediate decision making.
• Enforce the implementation of water sanitization and clearing processes through daily and weekly flushing for the flock's overall well-being.
• Collect blood samples for sero-monitoring purposes and discuss sero-monitoring reports with management for effective interpretation and necessary action to protect the health integrity of the flock
• Ensure adequate wind-efficient maintenance of health tools such as injectors; P.M, utensils etc.
• Carry out all other assignments as may be directed by management from time to time. Diagnosis and treatment of poultry diseases.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine (BVSc or DVM)
• Proven experience in veterinary practice or animal health services.
• Excellent communication skills (including written, oral and presentation skills)
