Perform trees maintenance or tasks at great heights.
Inspect and assess the condition of climbing equipment trees and structure.
Follow safety protocols to minimize risks during climbing operations.
Collaborate with team members to plan and execute climbing operations.
Document work performed and maintain records of inspections.
Provide training and support to less experienced climbers.
Ensure trimming and removing trees base up the specification of the work order.
Respond to emergencies or unforeseen incidents while climbing.
Conduct safety briefings before starting a climb.
Removing and trimming trees in hazardous situations.
Communicate any issues regarding equipment.
Qualifications
OND with minimum of four (4) years of experience or Trade Test II with a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.
Competencies
The ideal candidate must:
Have proven experience in climbing or tree trimming work.
Have solid knowledge of rope systems, rigging, and equipment handling/maintenance.
Be physically fit with strong balance and ability to work at heights for extended periods.
Be able to work safely in diverse weather and high-pressure conditions.
Have good problem-solving skill, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards.
