    Accountant

    Responsibilities

    The ideal candidate will (but is not limited to):

    • Maintain accurate day-to-day financial transactions to support operational efficiency.
    • Allocate and track costs accurately to specific jobs and projects to ensure effective cost control and reporting.
    •  Generate detailed job cost reports to evaluate project performance and support profitability analysis
    • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
    • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely billing and collections.
    •  Reconcile bank accounts and monitor project-related cash flow.
    • Support audits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and reporting requirements.
    •  Maintain internal financial controls and adhere to company accounting policies.
    • Conduct risk assessments and cash flow projections for ongoing and upcoming projects.
    • Develop and maintain internal financial controls and accounting procedures.
    • Support internal and external audits with necessary documentation and explanations.
    • Implement tools to automate reporting, budgeting, and project tracking.

    Requirement

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    •  5-7 years of accounting experience (preferably in construction)
    • Membership in a recognized professional body i.e., ICAN, ACCA will be an added advantage)
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
    • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

    • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
