Account Officer / Financial Controller (Fashion House) at 68byalake

ROLE SUMMARY

The Account Officer will be fully responsible for the financial integrity of the business.

This role requires someone disciplined, structured, proactive, and detail-oriented. We are not looking for a passive accountant.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Daily sales reconciliation (boutique & online)
• Cash flow monitoring and reporting
• Payroll preparation and salary schedules
• PAYE schedule preparation and basic tax documentation
• Expense tracking and cost analysis
• Weekly financial reports to Management
• Stock value monitoring in collaboration with inventory officer & being a back up inventory officer in the absence of the main inventory officer ( Incase a need arises) 
• Prevention of financial leakage
• Vendor payment tracking
• Bank reconciliation
• Maintaining clean and audit-ready books at all times

The candidate must be able to detect discrepancies before Management does.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 3 years accounting experience (preferably in retail, fashion, or SME environment)
• Strong understanding of payroll preparation
• Experience preparing books for tax compliance
• Knowledge of inventory-finance reconciliation
• Proficiency in Excel (mandatory)
• Familiarity with accounting software is an advantage
• Strong integrity and accountability
• Ability to work with minimal supervision

SALARY

₦180,000 – ₦300,000 (based on experience and competence)
