    Account Officer

    Job Summary

    • The Account Officer plays a critical role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the organization.
    • By providing accurate financial information, analysis, and support, the Account Officer enables informed business decisions and contributes to the organization's overall success.

    Key Responsibilities
    Financial Record-Keeping:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounts.
    • Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.

    Accounts Payable and Receivable:

    • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payment to suppliers and collection from customers.
    • Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to accounts payable and receivable.

    Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions.

    Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
    • Monitor and report on budget variances.

    Compliance and Auditing:

    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
    • Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.

    Financial Analysis:

    • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
    • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions.

    Requirements

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Experience: Minimum 2 - 5years of experience in accounting or finance.

    Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Navision).
    • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

    Performance Metrics:

    • Accuracy and Timeliness: Accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and record-keeping.
    • Compliance: Compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
    • Financial Analysis: Quality and relevance of financial analysis and recommendations.
    • Customer Service: Quality of service provided to internal stakeholders, including management and other departments.
