Port Terminal Operators and Safety Executives at ConnectRail Service Limited

Role Summary
We are desirous of highly responsible individuals, who will be overseeing product transfer operations within their designated terminal. Supervise activities at a terminal (usually where cargo is delivered) and make sure that all practices are carried out within the company’s protocol.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that terminal staff is aware of safety practices and protocols and that they follow them religiously
• Ensure that effective coordination prevails between terminal services barges and rail.
• Maintain knowledge of industry terminal regulations and ensure that procedures are performed in accord with them
• Create and maintain productive relationships with all members of the terminal
• Respond to emergencies related to terminal, rail or marine related issues
• Oversee computer inventory control systems and goods movements
• Maintain familiarity with terminal operations and act as a backup to lead terminal operators
• Handle stock balancing and reporting activities.
• Support the Terminal Manager for smooth operation
• Receive cargo and ensure timely sampling, loading, and unloading of cargo

Requirements

• A graduate from  reputable higher institution,
• Minimum 2-3 years’ relevant experience within the Maritime industry
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and has a strong commitment to safety
