    Registrar

    Location: Yola, Adamawa

    Responsibility

    • The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer and a principal officer of the University S/he shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the University.
    • By virtue of the office, the Registrar is the Secretary to Council, Senate, Congregation, Convocation and numerous statutory committees.
    • The Registrar is, therefore, expected to guide on rules, regulations and procedures in the administration of the university.

    Qualifications

    • Candidates for the post of Registrar should possess at least a second class honours degree from a recognized university with minimum of fifteen (15) years relevant post qualification experience, ten (10) of which must be in a Uniyersity or other higher education institutions. Computer skills and proficiency in relevant personnel and human resources management are required.
    •  Possession of relevant higher degrees or postgraduate professional qualifications in the appropriate fields is an added advantage.
    • The candidate should not be older than 60 years at the time of assumption of duty and must be of sound physical and mental health and have a good understanding of the vision and mission of the university.
    • S/he must have the ability to provide good leadership, possess personal integrity and demonstrate transparency in private and public life and be able to command respect and loyalty of staff.

    Referees Report

    • Applicants should send the names of three (3) referees, one of whom must be conversant with the applicant’s current work and the other two (2) should be competent to attest to the candidates’ professional/academic standing and character.
    • Candidates should request their referees to send confidential reports attesting to their integrity and capability for the post applied for direct to the address above; and te’ envelope be marked confidential.
