    Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

    Details:
    Overall Purpose (of the Job): Under the guidance and supervision of the project manager, this position will provide, technical inputs and coordination in developing, implementing state specific work plans and monitoring including proper documentation of reports and documents

    Main Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities:

    • Assist the team in Developing the M&E framework and Implementation plan
    • Build the capacities of the team members on the use of the M&E tools
    • Provide leadership in monitoring the project activities
    • Conduct weekly /monthly monitoring and supportive supervision at state level
    • Conduct quarterly data quality assurance with the team members
    • Collate and aggregate service data at state level
    • Facilitate M&E trainings for project team
    • Conduct all mapping exercises
    • Facilitate production of quarterly newsletter
    • Produce monthly M&E report 
    • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

    Key Outputs:

    • State work plans in place.
    • Quarterly DQA with project team
    • Weekly and monthly progress reports
    • Quarterly Newslatter
    • Community mapping of stakeholders developed
    • Up to date accurate documentation of all activity reports, monthly reports and correspondences

    Employee Specification:

    Mandatory:

    • Minimum of Bachelor Degree in social sciences or statistics
    • Minimum of three years relevant work experience in public and NGO
    • Research, data analysis and project management skills.
    • Excellent conceptual, analytical, writing as well as oral communication and facilitation skills.
    • High computer skills in the use of relevant software for data analysis and presentation

    NATURE AND AMOUNT OF SUPERVISION RECEIVED
    The position requires foresight and maturity and therefore requires minimal supervision, however, guidance and supervision will be provided as appropriate. The job holder is expected to an extent possible work independently and prioritise, schedule and carry out work to meet agreed deadlines and set objectives, and in line with established standards and guidelines.
