    Programme Finance Officer

    About the role

    The Post holder will be responsible for working with partner organizations to assist them in financial management. S/He will oversee partner’s financial records, financial reports, budgets, donor funds, internal and external audits and compliance in line with Christian Aid’s policies, procedure and standard. The post holder will build the financial management capacity of partner organizations and improve the capacity of Christian Aid’s programme staff to understand Christian Aid’s and institutional donors’ policies and Procedures.

    About you

    The role holder must have a degree in accounting (or equivalent) and a qualified member of a recognised accounting organisation. S/he must demonstrate Knowledge of financial standards required by donors (such as DFID, USAID, EU etc), local financial standards and legal framework, demonstrate experience of working with financial accounting procedures, reviewing financial reports, creating and monitoring budgets and working with compliance regulations. Has considerable experience in delivering financial training using different methodologies and is expected to show experience in the use of excel, SUN accounting software and QA Executive (accounting reporting tool)
