Job Purpose

The job of the project manager was established for the purpose/s of planning for the project and creating a master plan for implementation.

Description

• Oversee project from concept through final implementation to ensure project  deliverables are met.
• Define and monitor project scope and objectives, detailed work plan and schedule, project budgets, resource plans and status reporting process to Hyprops Management.
• Coordinate all necessary internal resources and third parties/vendors for effective execution of project requirements, including staff, consultants and partners, for Hyprops as required.
• Maintain timelines, milestones & resource plan in Microsoft Project.
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs.
• Coordinate and conduct project meetings.
• Track progress and review project tasks to make certain deadlines are met appropriately.
• Identify, assess and minimize project risk.
• Recommend and take action to direct the analysis and resolution of problems as they arise; report and escalate to senior management as required.
• Coordinate and check engineering deliverables
• Manage project turnover, lessons learnt and project closeout.

Job Specification:

• A University degree in the field of engineering is preferred.
• 12-15 years relevant project management experience required. 4-5 years with Certified Project Manager accreditation preferred.
• Demonstrated competency using MS Project or similar. Computer literate with word processing, database, spreadsheets, document management software, internet, and e-mail.  
• Outstanding oral and written communications skills, meticulous record keeping ability and strong attention to detail.
• Must have a high level of interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization, internal and external constituents.
• Work requires continual attention to detail, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
