CONSULTANT PAEDIATRICIAN(S) (FULL TIME) with subspecialties in Cardiology, Endocrinology, Otorhinolaryngology, Dermatology, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Neonatology, Haematology and Oncology

JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

The Consultant Paediatrician(s) with relevant working experience.

Candidate should be computer proficient and have a sound relevant knowledge in general of paediatrics, valuable sympathetic bedside manners, excellent communication skills with both parents and children, strong active listening skills and advanced problem solving abilities while being able to work in a team. Excellent use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and ventilators will be an added advantage.

JOB SUMMARY:

• Caring for the physical, social and emotional health of children from birth
• Must be able to creatively diagnose and treat all cases presented by juvenile patients
• Provision of quality counsel and education to parents/relatives of paediatric patients on how to minimise the impact of a disease condition on a child’s health in line with world best practices in paediatric care
• Medical care of inpatients including neonates and management of cases that are related to Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Participation in Clinical/audit governance of assigned Medical Officers to Paediatric unit
• Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes as well as Weekly Academic Learning activities limited to scope of practice
