Mechanical & Electrical Engineer (Building Services) at CMB Building Maintenance and Investment Company Limited

Job descriptions:

• Prepare and study (constructions/approvals) drawings and specifications of mechanical and electrical systems to ensure conformity with company standards and customer requirements during all installations and construction activities.
• Coordinate ongoing mechanical and electrical installations, testing activities and maintenance, support to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and company standards and requirements.
• Inspect completed mechanical and electrical installations, document all observations and recommend improvements to ensure conformance with design specifications, operational and safety standards.
• Prepare material specifications and budgets for purchase of mechanical and electrical materials and equipment for construction activities.
• Oversee development project construction activities to ensure satisfactory completion, on time and within budget.
• Prepare materials required to complete services installations. Advice on type and quality of materials necessary including equipment.
• Carry out a pre and post completion inspection of the works, to ensure compliance with design intent and satisfactory completion on time within budget.
• Provide technical support, supervise and liaise with the mechanical and electrical assistants, Architectural design team, Site Engineers, Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and any external design consultants.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by Head, Design Services.
• Participate in daily, weekly, monthly and annual planning of the development construction processes as appropriate.

Job Condition:

• Open plan office.
• May be required to work extra hours.

Experience & Training:

• First degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering or any other relevant degree.
• Proficient in Microsoft office tools
• Proficient in Autocad/Revit
• Masters/professional qualification will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 5–8 years’ experience with experience as a mechanical and electrical engineer in a construction or building services firm.

Minimum Qualification:

BTech, BEng, MEng.
