    Business Development Associate

    Job Description

    • The Business Development Associate must be an energetic self-starter who can quickly grasp a startup company’s vision, develop specific tactical plans and begin implementation upon appropriate approvals.
    • The candidate must be resourceful and able to develop a well-defined time management process in order to progress the vision of assigned companies.

    General Duties & Responsibilities​

    • Oversee customer service and ensure regular contact with clients to maintain company’s relationship with them
    • Search out and communicate with prospective clients towards creating new opportunities for business expansion
    • Provide assistance in proposal writing for the organization
    • Provide assistance in marketing literature development
    • Develop and customize business reports, ensuring they meet with client’s needs
    • Compose periodic sales reports, either weekly or monthly, and submit the reports to management
    • Provide support in marketing literature and brochure development
    • Support the organization in developing content for company’s website
    • Maintain and establish service and products being offered by the organization
    • Make the important cold calls to clients towards business development
    • Qualify new prospects for the organization
    • Arrange presentations and meetings among members of staff and with existing and prospective clients
    • Other related duties assigned as needed.

    Educational Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing, Engineering or Finance, with experience relating to new business development, marketing or sales.

    General Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Ability to work as part of a team
    • Able to work independently but within strategic framework
    • Good business acumen
    • Willing to learn and ask questions
    • Can handle many projects/assignments at the same time
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Project management skills
    • Can handle many projects/assignments at the same time

    Other Requirements:

    • Must be efficient at utilizing computer-based tools (Powerpoint, Excel, etc.) to accomplish tasks and communicate with others.
    • Light travel
    • Efficient at email and telephone communication
