The role of the Strategy Executive is to combine market data, qualitative research, product knowledge and consumer insights working with the account managers and the creative team to produce advertising ideas that resolve defined business problems.
Research and Analysis
o To ascertain market realities, gaps and needs
o To determine best fitted solutions
o To provide innovative and cutting edge marketing ideas that will bring the agency into reckoning within the industry
Insight Development and Planning
o Must be able to unearth insight form secondary and primary sources
o Develop documents and present thoughts in a logical and convincing manner
o Present competitive/ market reports to Supervisor’s/Clients on a monthly basis
o Develop marketing proposals
o Develop Pitch documents
Job Specs & Requirements
o A very good first degree
o Second degree and marketing qualifications an advantage (APCON, CIM)
o At least 5 years marketing experience, with at least3 years specifically in advertising and communication planning
o Must be able to develop advertising and communication plans to a variety of client briefs
o Must have excellent reporting standards and ability to work unsupervised
o Ability to conduct research and analyze data unsupervised
o Proven ability to develop convincing presentations and business plans
Skills (Social / Business)
o Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial flair
o Excellent speaking and presentation skills
o Interpersonal relations and people management, should have good negotiating skills, persuasive and diplomatic
o Be creative and able to think around problems
o Analytic: be a rigorous and logical thinker
