    Genesis Deluxe Cinemas (GDC) is one of Nigeria’s leading cinema developers and operators of multiplex cinemas in Nigeria. GDC is part of the Genesis Group, a Nigerian based conglomerate established in 1991 with its key focus on hospitality. The Genesis Deluxe brand and company was launched onto the Nigeria market in 2008 in Lagos. Since then, Genesis Deluxe Cinemas has grown to 3 cinemas with 15 screens and over 2000 seats. By the month of December 2011, the company had served over 5 million customers.

    GDC, is recruiting to fill the position below:

    Cinema Team Leader


    Key Responsibilities

    •     Daily Tasks (Team Leader to Monitor & Provide Support)
    •     Lead by example to ensure Daily Guest Service is prioritised and implement exceptional guest service standard to meet guests expectations (Be positive & Motivate the team)
    •     Ensure Guests Film information are always available (film guides, box office tickets and promo materials)
    •     Check daily and ensure all tills are operatives and resolve any issues immediately
    •     Daily Ensure the box office is always clean and organised accordingly
    •     Follow daily cashing up procedures and security policy to protect assets and box office revenue. Any cash difference must be resolved immediately
    •     Be firm and take immediate action for any Cash or Security Breach to all box office staff
    •     Ensure box office staff are presentable and have correct uniform
    •     Ensure box office cinema staff are trained on guest service standards
    •     Communicate 15min morning and evening meeting goals to office staff
    •     Daily review of all disciplinary matters, discuss with OM to resolve them

    Team Leader Weekly (Concession) - Report to OM:

    •     Monitor Daily Operational Tasks and meet all guest standard, review daily with team leaders daily requirements
    •     Weekly Ensure other income are recorded and other concession third party revenues are monitored and submit report to OM
    •     Weekly submit to Retail/Concession Revenues Reports and Actual Concession Revenue Summary Report to OM
    •     Review Critic Performance Review documents and action accordingly
    •     Review Cash Difference report and action accordingly
    •     Review Weekly Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for Retail/Concession and set goals to achieve next week financial results
    •     Maintain all documents accordingly and follow a filling system which can be reviewed with OM, HR/IT-OM and OM if needed for any reference
    •     Ensure POS Display and Promotions Materials are available and presentable
    •     Count Stock each Monday & Review Wastage Report, Shrinkage & Delivery Note, provide accurate stock information to OM – weekly Tuesday Morning
    •     Weekly Review Stock Difference and implement and document ways to improve stock issues.

    Team Leader Monthly Task (Concession) - Report to OM:

    •     Review box office revenue results against budget and communicate with box Retail/Concession staff ways to improve
    •     Review mystery shopper report and communicate success and issues and resolve all guest service issues highlighted in the report
    •     Monthly provide 1 hour training and communicate results and issues
    •     Produce Monthly Stock Report to OM and highlighting success and issues

    Team Leader Quarterly Task (Concession) - Report to OM:

    •     Quarterly Provide Retail/Concession training to all staff
    •     Provide quarterly Retail/Concession cinema staff performance review and highlight area of improvement – records of review and performance to be reviewed
    •     Twice a year provide appraisal to all box office staff and documents improvement plan
    •     Review box office training and critic review documents to maximise performance
    •     Review daily and weekly box office revenues , communicate results against budget for business
    •     Plan training operational and training needs agreed with OM
    •     Attend management internal meeting with OM
    •     Attend training organised by company
