    Senior Associate (Legal Services)

    Description

    • Our client is seeking a Senior Associate to join their legal Services Department, reporting directly to the Partner.
    • This is a high-responsibility role requiring strong expertise in transaction structuring, corporate financing, securities, syndicated loans, bond issuance, M&A, due diligence, contract drafting, and company secretarial/regulatory advisory.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Advise on transaction structures, term sheets, securities, loans, bonds, and M&A.
    • Provide guidance on corporate financing, debt/equity structures, and due diligence.
    • Draft and review legal agreements including shareholder, trust deeds, and loan agreements.
    • Ensure regulatory compliance with CAMA, SEC, CBN, FRCN requirements.
    • Mentor junior associates and support client business development initiatives.

    Requirements

    • LLB from a recognized university and BL from the Nigerian Law School.
    • 8 - 12 years post-call experience in a reputable law firm.
    • Strong knowledge of CAMA, SEC, CBN, FRCN regulations.
    • LLM or relevant certifications (advantage).
    • Excellent analytical, commercial, and leadership skills.
