    Recovery Officer

    Job Description

    • We are looking for very experienced Recovery Officers who are looking for new challenges and looking to solve problems in a Startup Company.
    • The Recovery Officer is essential in supporting our Company's team to recover bad debts from all our products
    • You'll work alongside a small, agile but growing team from beginning to end, as your efforts will be designed to help our Company in our efforts to improve and achieve growth.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Monitor overdue and defaulted loans weekly to timely provide an update or recommendation to the manager.
    • Prepare and submit daily reports of the overdue and repayment for all loan facilities to keep all related stakeholders informed of the status.
    • Follow up and verify with the loan field officers to get updates on reasons for repayment lateness and the next action plan to handle the case.
    • Track and prepare a list of restructured or rescheduled clients by working closely with the loan field officers to better administer the repayment schedules.
    • Respond to all inquiries, issues, or errors related to repayment when required.
    • Arrange an appropriate time to chase and follow up with clients to ensure agreed terms and conditions are made.
    • Process to do a manual settlement to clients when appropriate.
    • Conduct site visits, alerts, follow up and recover defaulted loans by coordinating with the local authorities to those overdue and/or defaulted clients when assigned.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Banking, Accounting, or any relevant field.
    • Minimum one (1) year of working experience as a recovery officerin a credit function of the financial industry.
    • A basic understanding of the Company's operations, rules and regulations, laws, granting loans, and credit risk management.
    • Good problem-solving, negotiation, interpersonal, and convincing skills.
    • Patience and understanding of emotions to deal with clients.
    • Ability to use and communicate in both pidgin and English languages.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Excellent organizing, recording, and filing skills.
    • Strong dedication to accuracy and efficiency.

    Verification Officer

    Job Description

    • We are looking for experienced Verification Officers who are looking for new challenges and looking to solve problems in a Startup Company.
    • The Verification Officer is essential in supporting our Company's team to verify the authenticity of data provided by our borrowers.
    • You'll work alongside a small, agile but growing team from beginning to end, as your efforts will be designed to help our Company in our efforts to improve and achieve growth.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Verify the accuracy of records in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.
    • Planning, assigning, and review of all verification operations.
    • Carry out physical verification and other required KYC of our borrowers.
    • Maintain the integrity of the verification process and data reports.
    • Proffer improvement initiatives in verification campaign deployment.
    • Ensuring that the verification process is in accordance with Company’s criteria and timeline.
    • Conducting detailed background research and analysis.
    • Such other job as the Company may from time to time require to be carried out by you.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree.
    • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role ora role that requires handling data.
    • Proficient use of Intermediate Excel and MS Office suite.
    • Locate, gather, and organize information using appropriate technology and information systems.
    • Good knowledge of the Company's operations, rules and regulations, laws, granting loans, and credit risk management would be an added advantage.
    • Strong Communication skills in both written and verbal.
    • Good negotiation skills.
    • Good persuasive skills.
    • Ability to work in a team.
    • Ability to adjust and set priorities to meet deadlines.
    • Good people skills.
    • Keen attention to details.
    • Ability to work well independently, as well as in a group.
    • Proven ability to manage simultaneous projects and meet tight deadlines.
    • Self-motivated and confident in making sound business decisions.
