    Programme AYSRH&D Adaptation Officer (Jigawa)

    Job Description

    • The SBCC & Adaptation Officer provides technical leadership and hands-on technical assistance (TA) to strengthen government and community systems for sustainable demand generation (DG), social and behaviour change communication (SBCC), and adaptive implementation of proven A360 innovations.
    • The role supports state and local governments to institutionalise multi sectoral DG systems that improve equitable access to quality SRH, MNCH and holistic girl capital outcomes for adolescents and young women.
    • Operationally, the Officer drives integration of DG within health and non-health MDAs, facilitates human-centered design (HCD)–aligned adaptations, strengthens routine data use, builds capacity of government counterparts, and supports strategic coordination for scale and sustainability.

    Specific Purpose of the Job
    The Officer leads and coordinates TA and implementation across six broad technical areas:

    • Government & Community Systems Strengthening for Demand Generation
    • Adaptive Implementation and Innovation (HCD-Aligned)
    • Holistic Girl Capital Data Management, Analysis & Use
    • Capacity Building, Mentorship & Performance Tracking
    • Strategic Engagement, Coordination & Resource Alignment
    • Planning, Budgeting, Knowledge Management & Reporting

    Requirements

    • BSc. / BA Degree in Comms, Health Management, Social Sciences or related fields. 
    • An observable commitment to professional improvement will be an added advantage
    • 3 years’ experience in an equivalent role with progressively increasing responsibility in a fast-paced working environment.
    •  Knowledge of national SRH and RMNCH+N strategies and familiarity with the northern context.
    • Demonstrated experience in community systems strengthening with skills in stakeholders’ engagement.
    • Understanding of the Human Centred Design principles.

    Requirements

    Programme Strategic Information Manager - Abuja

    Job Description

    • The Strategic Information Manager will lead the planning and execution of all market related research, data collection and analysis for Data to Action decision on the project and reporting.
    • S/he will liaise with the Global and DISC Nigeria MERL Lead, HMIS Advisor, State MERL Officers, research consultant and other relevant staff to collect, clean, analyze and evaluate all data necessary for the business requirements project.
    • S/he aligns information management with organizational and national strategy, promoting data-driven decision-making.
    • S/He oversees the development of the project's M&E and Research strategy and defining performance metrics.
    • S/He prioritizes data privacy and compliance, implements training programs for project team members, and also engages with stakeholders to understand information needs.

    Requirements

    • Degree in Public Health, Social sciences, or any related field. A Master’s degree in Demography, Public Health, Epidemiology or Biostatistics/Statistics will be an added advantage.
    • At least 10 years of post NYSC experience in design, implementation and management of monitoring and evaluation systems assessing the progress, effectiveness and impact of program deliverables.

    Technical:

    • Microsoft Office proficiency
    • Proficiency in use of analytic software and computer applications
    • Report writing and data interpretation skills.
    • Significant knowledge of FP and Reproductive Health in Nigeria.

    Job Description

    • This project involves scale-up of family planning services in 400 – 500 public health facilities in all LGAs in each state through provision of technical assistance to the Government on capacity building, state-wide demand generation, service provision, SSVs, data management and reporting.
    • Summary of the State Service Delivery Advisor activities include.
    • State-level implementation planning and execution in all LGAs in coordination with State and LGA Reproductive Health and Family Planning Coordinators Officers for DISC and RMNCAEH+H
    • Provision of TA on Family planning and RMNCAEH+H to the State/LGA Health teams, RMNCAEH+N Stakeholders and Partners,
    • Lead health facilities and providers assessment and selection.
    • Provide supportive supervisory visits and on-the-job coaching to all LGA RH/FP supervisors to achieve technical and providers competency on SRH and FP services.
    • Ensure quality of care standards are maintained in all DISC supported facilities and outreaches.
    • Ensures improved method continuation amongst beneficiaries
    • Engage actively with State RH/RMNCAH TWG and LMCU for promotion of SFH brand, integration, and all year-round product availability in supported health facilities and outreach sessions.
    • Support policy engagements to aid institutionalisation of the SFH positions and solutions into the State RMNCAEH+N response

    • Bachelor Nursing/Midwifery, Pharmacist, Medical Doctor and any other health-related field

    • Experience in health system strengthening, monitoring and evaluation will be an added advantage.

    Technical:

    • Significant knowledge of FP in Nigeria.
    • Must possess a flair for women’s reproductive health in Nigeria.
