    Operation Foreman

    Description

    • To supervise and coordinate day-to-day plant operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous production in line with set targets and quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise daily plant operations and monitor equipment performance.
    • Allocate tasks and oversee operators, helpers, and shift personnel.
    • Ensure smooth running of production processes (crushing, screening, conveying, processing, etc.).
    • Monitor process parameters and make adjustments to optimize performance.
    • Enforce compliance with safety standards, permit-to-work, and company policies.
    • Report any operational issues, breakdowns, or process deviations to supervisors.
    • Maintain accurate shift logs, production reports, and handover notes.
    • Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.

    Qualifications

    • Diploma / HND / B.Sc. in Engineering, Mining, or a related technical field.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in plant or mining operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
    • Strong knowledge of plant equipment (crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps, etc.) and process flow.
    • Experience in shift operations and production monitoring.

    Technical Operator

    Job Description

    • To operate and monitor plant equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring smooth production, minimal downtime, and adherence to quality and safety standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Operate assigned plant equipment (e.g., crushers, conveyors, pumps, screens, mills, or utilities).
    • Monitor process parameters and make basic adjustments to maintain efficiency.
    • Report equipment faults, abnormalities, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
    • Support start-up, shutdown, and routine checks of plant machinery.
    • Carry out minor operational maintenance such as lubrication, cleaning, and tightening.
    • Record production data, shift logs, and operational parameters.
    • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
    • Assist maintenance and technical teams during breakdowns and plant shutdowns.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • OND / Diploma / Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
    • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in plant or mining operations (fresh technical graduates/trainees may be considered).
    • Familiarity with industrial or process plant equipment operation.

    Mechanical Foreman

    Job Description

    • To supervise and coordinate mechanical maintenance activities in the plant, ensuring equipment reliability, minimal downtime, and safe working practices.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise day-to-day mechanical maintenance of plant equipment (crushers, conveyors, pumps, screens, thickeners, etc.).
    • Allocate tasks to technicians and monitor job execution.
    • Support planned, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities.
    • Diagnose mechanical faults and ensure timely repairs.
    • Maintain proper maintenance records and shift reports.
    • Enforce safety rules, permit-to-work systems, and housekeeping in work areas.
    • Guide and train technicians and fitters to improve skills and performance.
    • Coordinate with operations and other departments to ensure plant efficiency.
    • Ensure availability and proper use of spare parts, tools, and equipment.
    • Participate in shutdowns and major overhauls.

    Qualifications

    • Diploma / HND / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
    • Trade Test or equivalent technical certification is an advantage.
    • 5+ years’ experience in mechanical maintenance in a mining or heavy process plant.
    • Knowledge of crushers, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and other heavy machinery.
