    Accountant

    Our client, a field farm is looking to hire an Accountant who will be responsible for managing the financial records and transactions of the farm, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing insightful financial analysis to support the farm\'s operational and strategic decisions. This role involves working closely with management and other stakeholders to maintain financial health and compliance with relevant regulations.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records of all transactions, accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payments, and collections.
    • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts monthly.
    • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts, monitor performance and report variances to management.
    • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports, highlighting key metrics and ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards and regulations.
    • Prepare and file tax returns and other regulatory documents and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
    • Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors as needed.
    • Track and analyse costs associated with organization operations and develop and implement cost control measures to improve financial efficiency.
    • Manage payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
    • Oversee inventory accounting, including tracking and valuing livestock, crops, and supplies.
    • Conduct periodic inventory audits and reconciliations.
    • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making on investments, expansions, and other strategic initiatives.
    • Provide profitability analysis for different farm products and activities.
    • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure proper documentation and authorization of financial transactions.
    • Work closely with managers, suppliers, and customers to resolve financial issues.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in an agricultural or farming environment.
    • Professional certifications and affiliation with relevant Finance/Account bodies e.g. ICAN, ACCA, etc
    • Profound knowledge of accounting systems, software and practices
    • Proven experience in working with LIRS/FIRS and external auditors.

    HR Lead

    Our client, a field farm is looking to hire a HR Lead who will be responsible for designing, managing, and supporting the entire life cycle of different categories of employees, from recruitment to retention to growth. This role ensures that HR policies and procedures are effectively implemented and align with the organization\'s operational goals and regulatory requirements. The HR Lead works closely with management and employees to foster a positive work environment and promote a culture of safety and productivity.

    Responsibilities

    Talent Acquisition and Onboarding: 

    • Manage the talent acquisition process, which will include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants.
    • Coordinate and conduct new employee orientation and onboarding processes.
    • Ensure proper documentation and completion of new hire paperwork.

    Employee Engagement and Retention:

    Qualifications

    • Minimum BSc degree in Human Resources Management/Administration or related field. 
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the Human Resource sector.
    • Have necessary HR certifications (e.g. PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, etc.)
    • Strong understanding of talent management principles, retention, compliance and best practices.
    • Proficient in HR software and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
