    National Sales Manager

    Job Overview

    • Our client is in need of a National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our national sales strategy and operations.
    • The National Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and executing sales strategies to expand our market presence and drive revenue growth.
    • Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this position offers an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented professional to lead a high-performing sales team and make a significant impact on our business. The role will require travel as part of the responsibilities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share goals.
    • Lead and mentor a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to drive performance.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, distributors, and retail partners to maximize sales opportunities.
    • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
    • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales strategies with product launches, promotions, and campaigns.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management, with at least 2 years of experience in the FMCG industry, specifically in the snacks space.
    • Proven track record of success in driving sales growth and managing a sales team.
    • Strong understanding of the Nigerian market dynamics, distribution channels, and consumer behavior.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
    • Strategic thinker with analytical skills, capable of translating market insights into actionable sales plans.
    • Willingness to travel extensively as part of the role.
    • Experience in setting up and managing sales teams is preferred.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

    • Minimum of 6 years of experience in the FMCG industry, with at least 3 years of experience specifically in the snacks space.
    • Proven track record of success in production management, with a focus on snacks manufacturing.
    • Experience with extruded snacks, baked goods, or fried snacks preferred.
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
    • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and strategic thinking, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
    • Familiarity with production planning software and ERP systems.
    • Nigerian candidates are preferred, but expatriates with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
