    National Sales Manager

    Job Overview

    • Our client is in need of a National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our national sales strategy and operations.
    • The National Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and executing sales strategies to expand our market presence and drive revenue growth.
    • Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this position offers an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented professional to lead a high-performing sales team and make a significant impact on our business. The role will require travel as part of the responsibilities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share goals.
    • Lead and mentor a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to drive performance.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, distributors, and retail partners to maximize sales opportunities.
    • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
    • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales strategies with product launches, promotions, and campaigns.
    • Set sales targets and KPIs for the sales team, monitoring performance and providing regular feedback and coaching.
    • Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
    • Drive initiatives to optimize distribution channels, improve product visibility, and enhance merchandising effectiveness.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and trade regulations.
    • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings, fostering positive relationships and promoting our brand.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management, with at least 2 years of experience in the FMCG industry, specifically in the snacks space.
    • Proven track record of success in driving sales growth and managing a sales team.
    • Strong understanding of the Nigerian market dynamics, distribution channels, and consumer behavior.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
    • Strategic thinker with analytical skills, capable of translating market insights into actionable sales plans.
    • Willingness to travel extensively as part of the role.
    • Experience in setting up and managing sales teams is preferred.
    • Nigerian candidates are encouraged to apply, but expatriates with relevant experience and qualifications are also welcome, with the possibility of family status.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
