    Medical Laboratory Scientist

    OBJECTIVES:

    • This position reports to the centre coordinator. The Laboratory Scientist at (MSI) is responsible for clientcentred clinical services and laboratory equipment maintenance.
    • They ensure accurate testing, specimen storage, and compliance with protocols.
    • The role involves building partnerships, maintaining confidentiality, and generating demand for MSI services. Strong communication and administrative skills are required to document communications, handle client complaints, and liaise with regulatory bodies. The Laboratory Scientist must hold a recognized clinical qualification, have post-graduation experience, and be licensed and registered with local clinical professional bodies.
    • They should be motivated, empathetic, and capable of working independently.

    OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Partnership and network building

    • Encourage a commitment to accommodating clients' special needs such as flexibility of working hours.
    • Maintain strict privacy and confidentiality to generate demand for MSN services.
    • Have a public relations and promotional role with colleagues, NHS and the general public
    • Timely collate and submit Laboratory reports to the centre team.
    • Monitor monthly client numbers and income generated and in collaboration with the centre
    • teams make appropriate recommendations to meet income to cost targets.

    Laboratory Scientist roles

    • Welcoming, friendly, professional, and efficient atmosphere for all clients and visitor in the laboratory to always ensure client satisfaction.
    • Maintaining laboratory equipment (including calibration) in a proper working condition and prompt report of any malfunction to the centre coordinator.
    • Keep record of stock, perform forecasts, and ensure reagents and other laboratory consumable do not fall below minimum level
    • Perform regular Quality control on laboratory reagents after supply and before use
    • Ensure specimen are obtained in the appropriate manner

    Provide timely and accurate result

    • Ensure cervical smear specimens are stored and packaged correctly for transportation to the approved cytology/pathology laboratory
    • Maintain accurate records of all tests performed and the result of such tests
    • Keep abreast with and ensure that MSN complies with latest developments in laboratory testing protocol in Nigeria
    • Assist to provide counselling on core MSN Clinical services in the Laboratory.
    • Carry out any other lawful duties assigned by the Centre Coordinator.
    • Make proper use of available information systems in MSI to facilitate service delivery & trainings

    Communication and administration

    • Ensure formal communications with the various health partners are properly documented
    • Follow up on all client’s complaints relating to any of the MSN services and make recommendations.
    • Able to sign off on a lab result and take responsibility when there is an error in diagnosis
    • Liaise appropriately with the Council of Medical Laboratory Sciences of Nigeria and other relevant regulatory bodies during routine or periodic visits and assessments for QC standards.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    To perform this role, it is essential that you have the following skills:

    • Must have a recognised clinical qualification in Medical Laboratory Science.
    • Must be registered with a recognised local clinical professional body in Nigeria and of good Standing
    • Must be licenced and have a valid practicing licence
    • Must have requisite experience to work with minimum supervision
    • Relevant post-graduate qualification e.g. MBA, MSc, MA (desirable).
    • At least 1 year’s post NYSC working experience in similar position
    • Clinical Expertise: Possess a recognized clinical qualification in Medical Laboratory Science and relevant experience to work with minimum supervision.
    • Laboratory Skills: Proficient in maintaining laboratory equipment, performing tests accurately, and following laboratory protocols. Experience in quality control procedures and ensuring proper storage of specimens.
    • Client Interaction: Excellent client interaction skills to create a welcoming and professional atmosphere, ensuring client satisfaction, and providing counselling on MSN clinical services.
    • Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for effective documentation, formal communication with health partners, handling client complaints, and collaborating with the centre team.
    • Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and
    • PowerPoint, for data management, report preparation, and utilization of information systems.
    • Attention to Detail: Articulate and analytical approach with attention to detail in performing laboratory tests, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to regulatory standards.
    • Teamwork and Motivation: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, demonstrate enthusiasm, and motivate team members to deliver high-quality service and achieve results.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with the Council of Medical Laboratory Sciences of Nigeria and other relevant regulatory bodies' standards and the ability to ensure compliance during routine assessments.
    • Knowledge of Health Systems: Desirable understanding of the health delivery system in Nigeria and experience working with the Nigeria Health Service and/or an INGO.
    • Empathy and Passion: Sympathy and empathy towards individuals seeking family planning and reproductive health services, along with a passion for maternal health.

    Sales Representative

    OBJECTIVES:

    • Achieve maximum sales, profitability, growth, and account penetration within the assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the MSI Nigeria’s product/s and related services.
    • Personally, contacts and secures new business accounts/customers.

    OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Achieve set monthly Commercial Sales objectives target for assigned territory.
    • Implements all aspects of the Sales cycle and the gtMarket Model around prospecting for new customers, demand creation for all brands with relevant Health Care Practitioners, merchandising, and sales of commodities.
    • Develop good knowledge of MSI Nigeria product/s and services.
    • Ensures optimum Territory Coverage as well as ensuring improved productive call Rate during Face-to-Face Calls
    • Manages key relationships for key customers, influencers, and decision makers in territory.
    • Timely reports on market intelligence for competition.
    • Regularly cascades customer feedback tthe Regional Sales Manager and as regards best practice on how tgrow the business.
    • Engages the sales merchandisers in territory tdrive distribution efficiency around timely supply of orders in territory.
    • Ensures timely submission of all reports as expected from your line manager and Social Marketing leadership.
    • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
    • MSI Nigeria resource management: ensure efficient and effective utilization of MSI Nigeria allocated resources and deliver high return on investment on all highlighted areas.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • A university degree in Biological, Physiological sciences and Pharmacy.
    • A minimum of one year of sales or related experience or training in pharmaceutical or healthcare
    • Experience or proven ability tbe a team player.
    • A self-starter with uncanny ability tsurmount challenges.
    • A problem solver whis ready tgthe extra mile.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • A valid driver’s license.

    Clinical Marketer

    OBJECTIVES:
