Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in hematology, microbiology, chemistry, and serology.
• Collect, process, and analyze patient samples in line with standard operating procedures.
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results before release.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and perform routine calibration and quality control checks.
• Adhere strictly to infection prevention and control protocols, especially in pediatric settings.
• Document test results and maintain proper laboratory records.
• Collaborate with clinicians to support prompt patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Monitor laboratory inventory and report stock requirements promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and child-friendly laboratory environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) or related field
• Valid practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN)
• Minimum of 2–3 years relevant laboratory experience (pediatric experience is an advantage)
• Strong knowledge of laboratory quality systems and SOPs
• High attention to detail and analytical skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
