    Logistics Assistant

    Purpose

    • Support logistics and dispatch operations by coordinating shipments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely delivery of goods in compliance with company policies and procedures.

    The Job 

    • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
    • Track shipments and update stakeholders on delivery status, including delays where necessary.
    • Prepare and maintain logistics documentation such as invoices, shipping records, and inventory reports.
    • Liaise with transporters, warehouse teams, and suppliers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
    • Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock reconciliation and discrepancies.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
    • Support the logistics team in resolving transportation issues and optimizing delivery routes.
    • Verify shipment details and reconcile discrepancies with suppliers and transporters.
    • Maintain proper filing systems for logistics records and documentation.
    • Assist in preparing reports on logistics performance, costs, and operational efficiency.

    Qualification

    • Strictly Diploma / OND in a related field.

    Experience:

    • 1 - 3 years experience in logistics, supply chain, or dispatch operations.
    • Experience in FMCG or manufacturing environment is an added advantage.

    The Person Must:

    • Have strong organizational and multitasking skills.
    • Possess good attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Have good communication and teamwork skills.
    • Be proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Word.
    • Demonstrate problem-solving ability in handling logistics issues.

    Material Planner - Golden Penny Foods

    PURPOSE ​
    To ensure the efficient planning, procurement, and availability of raw materials and packaging materials to support uninterrupted production while minimizing waste, costs, and stockholding

    THE JOB​

    • Develop and maintain material requirement plans (MRP) based on production schedules.
    • Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing overstocking and stockout.
    • Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to align material supply with production needs.
    • Analyze demand trends, supplier lead times, and production forecasts to optimize material procurement.
    • Track and resolve material shortages or delays that could impact production schedules.
    • Maintain accurate records of material usage, supplier performance, and stock movements.
    • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards in material handling and planning.

    THE PERSON MUST

    • Strong hands-on experience in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) within a manufacturing environment.
    • Proven ability to manage inventory levels effectively, ensuring optimal stock availability while minimizing overstocking and stockouts.
    • Demonstrated competence in demand forecasting and supply planning, with the ability to interpret production schedules and translate them into actionable material plans.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis, reporting).
    • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Procurement, Warehouse, Production, and Finance teams.

    QUALIFICATION
    HND/bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

    EXPERIENCE​

    •  3–5 years of experience in material planning or supply chain management in a food manufacturing company.
    • Experience using ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics will be an added advantage.

    Data Entry Operator – Niger Mills

    PURPOSE ​

    • Ensure accurate and efficient data entry, validation, and management to maintain seamless business operations and proper record-keeping.
    • Support administrative and operational teams by handling data-related tasks in compliance with company policies and standards.

    THE JOB​

    • Enter, update, and maintain data in company systems, databases, and spreadsheets accurately.
    • Verify and cross-check data for errors, inconsistencies, and missing information.
    • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive data in line with company policies.
    • Retrieve, compile, and provide data reports as required.
    • Organize and maintain electronic and physical records systematically.
    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure data integrity and consistency.
    • Follow company procedures and guidelines for data entry and record management.
    • Resolve discrepancies and escalate data issues to the supervisor when necessary.
    • Assist in preparing documentation for data-related processes.
    • Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and meet reporting deadlines.

    THE PERSON MUST ​

    • Demonstrate high accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
    • Have good organizational and time management skills.

    QUALIFICATION

    • Professional certification in Logistics, Transport Management, or Supply Chain is an – Added advantage.
    • Advanced certification in fleet or transport operations is an added advantage

    EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of 5 years experience in dispatch, logistics, or transport management.
    • Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or transport industry is an added advantage
