Responsibilities:

• Keep track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts
• Plan a course of action to recover outstanding payments
• Contact debtors to inquire about their payment status
• Negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans
• Comply with requirements when legal action is unavoidable
• To reduce substantially the company PAR through daily loan monitoring
• Monitoring of the company’s loan portfolio at risk from appraisal level to full recovery
• Ensuring close contact with loan officers on their default clients, providing support for them in the area of joint visits for recovery, calls, and letters to some of the defaulters as the need arises
• Liaise with law enforcement Officers to follow up with the cases of defaulters, as to collect any money been paid to them very quickly

Requirements and skills:

• Candidate must have at least 1-3 years’ experience in Loan Recovery Department.
• Candidates should possess LLB/BL
• Proven experience as a loan collector may be an added advantage
• Knowledge of relevant legal requirements
• Working knowledge of MS Office and databases
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Apt in negotiating and persuading

• A Degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in the sale of salary loans.
• Manage loan portfolios of customers
• Candidate must be able to acquire new customers for the company.
• Manage relationships with new customers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a good command of the English Language.
• Good team player, versatile, confident, and articulate.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel application).
