    Learning, Development & Engagement Advisor

    Description

    The incumbent will play a vital role in developing and implementing learning and development programs while also focusing on enhancing employee engagement initiatives within FIRST E&P. The Job holder will collaborate closely with members of the HR department, department managers, and employees to identify training needs, design effective learning solutions, and create strategies to boost employee engagement.

    Learning and Development:

    • Collaborate with departmental heads to align competency framework with organizational goals
    • Work with departmental heads to carry out competency assessments to identify gaps and development opportunities across various departments and levels within the organization.
    • Design and deliver training programs, workshops, and learning interventions aligned with organizational goals and employee development needs.
    • Coordinate with external training providers or develop in-house training materials and resources to support learning initiatives.
    • Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback surveys, assessments, and performance metrics, and make necessary adjustments to enhance learning outcomes.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in learning and development, competency development, LMS technology, and employee engagement
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the LMS and making recommendations for improvements
    • Provide coaching and support to managers and employees on learning and development initiatives
    • Prepare and manage budgets related to learning and development activities.
    • Measure the ROI of learning and development programs and present findings to senior management.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards such as the Industrial Training Fund, ensuring that the company is in full compliance and all refunds are received in full by the organization.

     Employee Engagement:

    • Develop and implement employee engagement strategies, initiatives, and programs to foster a positive work environment, enhance employee satisfaction, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Conduct employee engagement surveys, analyze results, and collaborate with stakeholders to address feedback and improve employee experience.
    • Organize employee recognition programs, events, and activities to celebrate achievements, promote teamwork, and boost morale.
    • Provide guidance and support to managers and teams on employee engagement best practices, communication strategies, and conflict resolution techniques.

    Requirements

    The ideal candidate must possess the following:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or related field.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
    • Proven experience (7 years+) in Human Resources with a focus on learning and development.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

    Senior Project Engineer

    Plan and execute delivery of assigned oil & gas and infrastructure projects that meet the expectations of stakeholders, on time and within budget.

    Summary of the principal results expected from the job:

    • Identify and secure resources needed for project delivery ·
    • Deliver the technical elements of an oil & gas and/or infrastructure project required to realize the value of a business opportunity, on schedule, within budget, and to the right quality.
    • Manage key stakeholders on whom project success depends; draw on resources within or outside the company as necessary. · Constitute and manage the project team, including resources that may be seconded from support functions
    • Maintain a risk register and actively manage identified risks to protect investment value · Keep management informed of the status of key aspects of the project, alerting to potential issues that may require senior Management intervention
    • Work through support functions to secure all needed statutory approvals, ensuring that all aspects of the project are carried out in compliance with the law and company guidelines
    • Hand over the completed project to the appropriate Operations Manager, with relevant documentation and, for hardware projects, initial operating spares ·
    • Close out project upon completion (or interim completion) in line with company process

    Requirements

    Project Services, Interface & Integration Manager

    Description

    The incumbent will be the Project Focal point to oversee and manage all interface, engineering coordination and project integration issues between the various work packages deployed in the execution company projects. The incumbent shall be responsible for managing all project interfaces associated with design, engineering, construction, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities and ensure that all projects are fully integrated to function as a complete plant system.

    • Define for management approval, the Interface Management Process for the project.
    • This shall include the authoring of all the relevant documents to be used in the implementation of the process. ·
    • Define all project integration node points and check that all nodes interconnect/integrate to ensure that the entire plant shall function as intended. ·
    • Accountable for setting up, managing, and updating the Master Integrated Project Schedule · Overall responsibility for managing important stakeholder expectations for all projects (Conductor supported platform, FPSO, Subsea Pipelines and risers, Drilling works). ·
    • Define and regularly update the battery limits of the various work packages. · Create the project MASTER INTERFACE REGISTER; Identify, catalogue and regularly update the interfaces between various work packages at their battery limits with full definition of the requirements required for management and closeout. ·
    • Provide technical support for review of contractor design, proposals and method statements.
    • Identify Risks (threats and opportunities) through workshops, Management sessions, information gathering or any other effective means. ·
    • Promote and actively contribute to flawless start up and asset transfer to operations team. ·
    • Develop and implement (using other resources) an interface management system that is web based can be fully accessible through the internet. ·
    • Provide technical assistance and advice to the project regarding interface issues, scope and schedule. ·

    Requirements

    • A good university degree in Engineering with a minimum of 15 years’ relevant experience in oil and gas facilities engineering and project management. ·
    • Multi-faceted industry experience ranging through project management, engineering design, construction and offshore installation. ·
    • Experience in executing a world class project in a community/security sensitive terrain such as the offshore Niger Delta
    • Candidate must have successfully delivered Projects with an aggregate value of not less than $500 million in an E&P environment ·
    • Ability to effectively interface with the Commercial, Financial (Lenders and Shareholders), Regulatory and Legal compliance aspects of an integrated project ·
    • Track record in the planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and operation of onshore and offshore oil/gas facilities, including oil/gas transportation pipelines.
    • The offshore experience must be in water depth of not less than 25m ·
    • Ability to develop and work with project plans and schedules including associated cost profiles ·
    • Understanding of project reporting requirements of various stakeholders and ability to generate same ·

    Project Delivery Manager

    Description

    The incumbent will lead a team of oil & gas engineering and project management professionals, including civil/structural, mechanical, material/corrosion, pipeline, process, facilities, electrical/instrumentation and marine engineering, to deliver OML 83-85 development project objectives, as defined by FIRST E&P Management. He will also engage and supervise/manage contractors to execute various aspects of the project, in keeping with the project’s contracting strategy and company’s contracting policy/process

    • · Manage key stakeholders on whom project success depends; drawing on resources within and outside the company as may be necessary. ·
    • Establish and implement a robust Change Management process that is consistent with the company’s Change Management procedure ·
    • Maintain a risk register and actively manage identified risks to protect investment value · Manage the activities and performance of the contractors and subcontractors through effective supervision and guidance, ensuring that technical queries are resolved without delay ·
    • Through effective daily, weekly and monthly progress reviews and reporting, keep Management informed of the status of key aspects of the project, highlighting any issues that may require intervention at senior/executive levels ·
    • Work through support functions to secure all required statutory approvals, ensuring that all aspects of the project are carried out in compliance with the law and company guidelines ·
    • Hand over the successfully completed and commissioned facilities to the Production Operations department, with relevant documentation and where relevant, initial operating spares ·

    Requirements

    Requirements

    • Minimum of a B.Sc./B.E degree in Civil, Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering  
    • Minimum 12 years in an engineering or construction role in the offshore oil and gas industry.  
    • Varied work experience is preferred with good knowledge of offshore jackets, subsea pipeline systems, FPSO’s, facility engineering, fabrication, integration, pre-commissioning and commissioning. 
    • Minimum 3 years of interface management experience within a major offshore oil and gas project. 
    • Self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills 
      • Competency in use of the Microsoft Office suite applications 
      • Experience in the implementation of a web-based interface management tool 
      • Able to work in a diverse team and work environment. 
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills that aid in resolving interface issues.
