    Lounge Manager (The Signature Lounge by Edeka)

    Main function:                 

    The manager will oversee all aspects of 18 hours operations.

    Reports Directly to:  Chairman/Consultant

    SPECIFIC DUTIES & ACTIVITIES 

    Areas of responsibility 

    The manager will provide strategic direction for employees to enhance customer experience and ensure the smooth and profitable running of the business. 

    Specific duties and activities 

    Operations

    • The job holder will have responsibility to oversee and manage the daily affairs of the entire units in all the outlets in accordance with 18 hours mission & vision statement, including maximization of financial performance, guest satisfaction and staff development with established quality standards. 
    • Ensure S.O.P implementation in all departments and check the same during routine operational checks. 
    • Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and make sound financial/business decision making.
    • Achieves the profit, customer service and revenue goals by the operation of 18 hours. 
    • Ensure that monthly financial outlooks for rooms, food and beverages, administrative targets are met. 
    • Coordinating, overseeing and managing all departments and service units as well as working closely with them on a daily basis to ensure the smooth running of the restaurant/lounge and its operations. 
    • Ensure that all decisions are made in the best interest of the Lounge and restaurant and any other responsibility as may be assigned by the management. 
    • Any other assigned roles by the Chairman.

    Food and Beverage

    • Work hand in hand with the chefs in ensuring proper menu engineering.
    • Come up with creative food ideas that will bring about great sales.
    • Invent and create mind blowing menus for all the six outlets for the business and re-invent from time to time.
    • Supervises food and beverage service staff by operating policies that they may help establish.
    • Create a positive team atmosphere among Team Members and manage the entire staffs.
    • Maintain records of staff periodic manner and operating costs.
    • Provide feedback and coaching to the Team regularly.
    • Treats all Team Members fairly and with respect.
    • Sets high standards for appropriate team behavior on shift.
    • Works with food and beverage staff to ensure proper food presentation and proper food-handling procedures.
    • Handle guest complaints.
    • Schedules periodic food and beverage service staff meetings to ensure correct interpretation of policies and obtain feedback from staff members.
    • Meet with the account department to order supplies for all food and beverage items.
    • Present the financial statement to the chairman on a monthly basis.
    • Is capable of handling irate customers with a friendly/calm attitude.
    • Ensures product quality and great service.
