Job Description:
To plan and coordinate production operations effectively to meet production plans and ensure proper maintenance of factory machinery, equipment and tools
Reporting Relationships:
Responsible to the Aba Head of Site Operations – Manufacturing Manager
Peers: Process Production Manager; QC/QA Manager; Maintenance Managers
Dimensions:
Headcount of over 100 Personnel. 70 Direct reports.
Principal Accountabilities:
- To ensure effective and efficient coordination of production operations to meet and deliver volume targets by due dates meeting specific quality standards as required by demand and supply plans
- To ensure maintenance programmes are carried out promptly and continuous availability of equipment/machinery; ensure Health, Safety and Environment Management
- To prepare reports on daily productions, overall equipment efficiency (OEE), plan achievement and adherence (PAA) to account for material usage variances (MUV) and confirmation of monthly production plan
- Managing team and individual performance through regular reviews, monitoring objectives and ensuring development needs are identified and actioned
- Responsible for process budget and cost management.
- Occupational Health, Safety and Environment systems (OH&SE) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS)
- Continuous improvement, communication and employee relations
- To ensure the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS), and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
Internal & External Relationships:
- Collaborates with the Process team in delivering the weekly agreed supply plan.
- Works closely with the process team, the operations team and the QC/QA team to ensure the agreed plan is delivered within budget.

Qualification, Knowledge, Skills & Experience Needed:
- B.Sc. / M.Eng. Mechanical, Production or Project engineering,
- MBA Membership of COREN
- Sound knowledge of SAP Manufacturing Execution F2S Module
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in a similar position
- Ability to withstand stress and pressure
- Good eye for infrastructural, design and engineering details
- Proficient in Microsoft office packages (MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint)
- Good knowledge of machine design
- Ability to withstand stress and pressure

- Tracking of distributor performance payments (including posting and matching), monthly account reconciliation/signing off, repayment plans linked to capability development
- Ensure collection of outstanding debt within stipulated time frame and accompanying same with sell-in of depleted SKUs
- Adherence to monthly journey plan for customers’ contact and engagement
- Ensure compliance to retail operating standards in all showrooms
- Organize and coordinate activities of floor sales merchandizers
- Implement strict credit control for Key distributors and ensure purchases are done within approved credit limit
- Accountable for POS materials and other sales driving materials deployed to territory through monitoring to ensure safe keeping and optimal use.
- Actively lead or participate in Quality Management System implementation and sustenance in all assigned duties.
- Ensure no waste of resources or pollution of the environment while fulfilling assigned responsibilities.
