    Manager - Treasury Operations

    Reports To: Senior Manager - Treasury Operations and Support

     

    Division: Finance

    Mission:

    • To manage regulatory approvals, coordinate payment run and off-payment cycle and ensure MTNN obligations to third parties are met on a timely basis.

    Description:

    • Acquire knowledge of Nigerian Accounting Standards (SAS), International (IAS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    • Acquire knowledge of a fully integrated ERP system (distribution, fixed assets, accounts payable, maintenance, project accounting, procurement etc.)
    • Manage day-to-day treasury accounting and reconciliation
    • Develop, direct and maintain systems that support all MTNN suppliers’ payments. 
    • Approve all daily, weekly and monthly payment schedules. 
    • Direct payments via appropriate bank account channels. 
    • Ensure communication of cash commitments tied to bank account is communicated to banking services team. 
    • Coordinate signing process of financial instruments.
    • Ensure all payments, third party, staff and statutory are processed and paid as at when due.
    • Support the development and maintenance of systems projects to manage and improve cash flow and payment information
    • Act as the custodian and be accountable for banking service level agreement.  
    • Negotiate and manage agreed bank charges and pricing portfolio. 
    • Resolve variances on bank charges and pricing.  
    • Act as the custodian of all banking mandates and signatory controls. 
    • Drive mutually beneficial initiatives with banks. 

    Education:

    • First degree in Accounting, Economics or any Finance related discipline.
    • Fluent in English
    • Professional Finance or Accounting qualifications (ICAN, ACCA, CPA, CIMA,)

    Experience:

    6 - 13 years’ experience which includes:

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an area of specialization; with experience in supervising/managing others
    • Experience working in a medium to large organization 
    • Minimum of eight years of which four years must be spent in function in a reputable organisation in the financial services sector or multinational experience.
    • Experience in international trade finance, foreign exchange activities, cash management, Accounts Payable and corporate treasury
    • Extensive bank reconciliation experience
    • Cash management and management of large volume of supplier payments

    Engineer - Packet Core

    Reports To: Manager - Packet Data Services

    Division: Network

    Mission:

    • To provide high availability of the MTN Nigeria Packet Data Network through effective operation, proactive and reactive maintenance of the Packet Core and network service infrastructure to achieve strategic business objectives.

    Description:

    • Analyze and provide information on bandwidth usage, user application/experience and critical upgrades on the Mobile Data Network.
    • Monitor adherence to processes and procedures to ensure conformance to best practices, thereby identifying opportunities for improvements.
    • Coordinate the implementation of Mobile Data Network planning functions to achieve the quality and key performance indicators (KPIs), as well as marketing and sales targets defined by the business
    • Coordinate vendor-related emergency maintenance on Mobile Data Network. 
    • Oversee constant tracking, monitoring and resolving of faults on the Mobile/Fixed Data Network.
    • Oversee proper implementation of change requests and planned work.
    • Manage network performance, bandwidth usage and configuration, ensuring conformance with set KPIs.
    • Understand the telecommunication industry local trends and developments, thereby assessing the impact on MTN’s current and future business.
    • Monitor performance statistics and generate weekly reports, providing monthly and quarterly progress updates on Mobile Data projects.
    • Ensure value is created from Customer engagement & Operations:
    • Support relevant units to develop the required contractual documents for Mobile Data projects, ensuring Mobile Data projects are implemented in accordance with the agreed plan and strategy.

    Education:

    • First degree in Electrical/ Electronics or Computer Engineering
    • UNIX Certification
    • Ericsson Certification/Training
    • Fluent in English

    Experience:

    3 -7 years’ experience in an area of specialisation; with experience working with others

    • Experience in Ericsson Evolved Packet Core/Switched and MPBN Networks; Protocols, Devices and Certifications
    • Experience in a GSM environment preferably in a high-level support role in the Core Network.
    • Experience in support of a multi-vendor Mobile Data Network and Enterprise environment.
    • Experience in WAP Gateways (MSP), DNSes, Radius (AAA), PCRF (SAPC), HSS Service Nodes.
    • Experience working on complex, commercially sensitive Mobile Data Network projects (e.g. technology evaluations/integration, due diligence, etc)
    • Experience in UNIX/Linux Systems, SGSN/MME, GGSN/EPG/PGW/SGW, DPI/SACC, Standards and Technologies

    Officer - Facilities Maintenance

    Mission:

    To ensure the effective and efficient execution of facilities, residential and logistics functions including mail processing, freighting and transportation, issuance and distribution of office refreshments and consumables.

    Description:

    • Process incoming/outgoing mails and ensure accurate documentation and update of mail administration database daily
    • Ensure collection and delivery of mail services are timely and mitigate against loss of customers’ mails
    • Facilitate and ensure availability of postage stamps
    • Liaise with courier companies (DHL, UPS, etc.) to facilitate delivery
    • Monitor performance of courier and freight companies and report loss/damage to supervisor promptly
    • Ensure timely distribution, relocation and movement of office furniture and equipment
    • Ensure timely ordering and distribution of office refreshments and consumables
    • Utilise inventory system for tracking office furniture, equipment and household furniture and appliances, office refreshments & consumables
    • Ensure proper handling  of courier airway bill for all domestic and international mails daily and ensure all bills are properly filed
    • Provide periodic activity report to supervisor as may be defined
    • Oversee the transit warehouse for Facilities items acquired for distribution to various locations or returned from various locations after use
    • Maintain a reliable record of data and information on apartments including furniture and electrical.
    • Oversee accommodation policy and provide accommodation services to expatriates as well as monitor DSTV subscription for MTNN.
    • Ensure proper fitting and furnishing of MTNN offices and residential apartments, maintenance of all non M&E equipment, evaluate use of space and facilities in all offices and residencies.
    • Supervise the activities of all front desk officers/receptionists and monitor the performance of all cleaning agencies and office move contracts in MTNN.
    • Identify and supervise the ordering and delivery of furnishing, interior décor and electrical accessories required for MTNN apartments.
    • Coordinate installation and assembly of furnishing and accessories to apartments and carry out inventory of same.
    • Manage the maintenance of MTNN apartments and ensure they are in good condition at all times.
    • Organise and supervise the removal and shipment of personal belongings of previous occupiers of apartments and ensure safe delivery.

    Education:

    • First degree in related discipline 
    • Fluent in English 

    Experience:

    • 3 – 7 years’ experience in an area of specialization; with experience working with others
    • Experience working in a medium organization,
    • Experience in a Facilities Management, Service or Logistics function in a structured environment involving managing multiple service providers.
