    Head Investment Services

    Job Purpose Statement

    • This role is generally responsible for coordinating and overseeing activities of Investment Services’  Department including operation of the annuity-based loan scheme, management of the company's investment in credits and management of funds held in trust.

    Key Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities)

    Financial

    •  Manage the company's existing and additional investment in credits.
    •  Ensure achievement of 100% budgeted income through adequate revenue generation and expense minimization in line with budget.
    •  Generate new business ideas supported with executive summaries that are considered viable by a Leadway new product manager or panel.

    Internal Business Processes

    •  Review, establish and document internal business processes that support the business effectively and efficiently.
    •  Technical and fundamental appraisal of credit requests, methodical analysis of financial statements, as well as logical recommendations for financing and investment decisions.
    •  Ensure engagement of due process and perfect approved documentation prior to consummation of each transaction.
    •  Timely submission of applicable reports to the client, regulator and other stakeholders.

    Customer

    •  Supervision of the Customer Service team and cause the drive to action that will ensure an excellent client experience.
    •  Quick turnaround on all required counter-party engagements.
    •  Effective communication with internal and external clients.
    •  Adequate customer engagements resulting in recognition of service gaps to individual or/and customer groups
    •  Periodic survey and measurement of customer satisfaction.

    •  Ensure consistent update on Industry knowledge and business competence for self and team members.
    •  Acquire and encourage team members on an on-going basis to acquire new skills that are relevant to company business or/and career advancement.

    Ideal Job Specifications

    Academic:

    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized University (preferred; accounting or business related)
    • Relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
    • Desired work experience:
    • Minimum of (5-8) years working experience in an operational senior credit capacity.
    • Exposure to treasury activities, asset and liability management

    Strategy Lead

    Job Objective

    The ideal candidate will be required to achieve the following:

    Group/Corporate Strategy development:

    • Business mix analysis and portfolio strategy for the group and within subcos
    • Resource allocation that supports corporate objectives and strategy.

    Strategic management and planning.

    • Strategy implementation reporting and governance. Group Strategy and performance management

    Relationship Manager

    Job Purpose Statement

    • This role will be responsible for technical reference point between LAC and its various partners including Brokers, Direct and other Business Channels especially large customer accounts and possible loss/impact on the company if an error occurs. More so, would be expected to deliver new accounts (number in line with KPI of the team) and 100% of renewals on all existing accounts. The scope of cover include General Business and Group Life.

    The role entails

    •  Relationship management and maintaining close rapport between the company and its clients.

    • Follow-up of outstanding Credit Notes and pending premium  reconciliation with Brokers/Clients/Partners
    • Drive growth through increased focus on SMEs and smaller corporates while effectively managing public sector portfolio
    • Increase policy count from various brokers/ customers/ partners
    • Acquiring retaining & building a long term relationship with targeted audience
    • Increase General Business/Life database thereby guaranteeing huge prospects thereby optimizing growth & profitability

    Ideal Job Specifications

    Academic:

    • 5+ years’ work-experience, 2 of which must be in a Sales/relationship management role.
