    Head, Trust Services

    Role Objective

    • Oversee and manage trust business activities while safeguarding clients' assets in line with Trust Deeds and regulatory requirements.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee trust operations and manage client assets under Trust Deeds
    • Protect Bondholders' interests, ensuring timely payment Of principal and interest
    • Maintain custody of securities and ensure proper documentation of trust relationships
    • Engage clients, regulators (SEC & NSE), and key stakeholders
    • Drive business developrnent, identify opportunities, and enhance revenue
    • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
    • Lead team performance, set targets, and support overall business growth

    Requirements

    • LL.B, B.L from a reputable Nigerian university
    • Professional qualification in Law/Banking/Asset
    • Management (MBA is an advantage)
    • 10-15 years' experience in trustee services or commercial law practice
    • Strong experience in drafting Trust Deeds and understanding of private, public, and corporate trusts
    • Must be an SEC-registered sponsored individual

    Trust Manager, Abuja/Port Harcourt

    Job Summary

    • To effectively secure and manage the client’s assets under the terms stated in the respective Trust Deeds

    Job Details

    • Oversee and coordinate business activities of the unit.
    • Protect the interest of Bondholders by preparing and perfecting Trust Deeds. Effect payment of Bondholders Principal & Interest entitlements when due
    • Maintain and keep in custody securities used for the duration of the financial obligation
    • Represent Bondholders interest and give necessary approvals/consents. Exercise discretionary powers in the interest of Bondholders.
    • Render periodic reports to the Issuer and Regulators [SEC & NSE].
    • Identify and prioritize trust and other opportunities, deepening relationships and enhancing revenue
    • Ensure the retention of business and fulfilment of Key's fiduciary responsibilities. 
    • Meet and engage with clients, attorneys, accountants, consultants & co-fiduciaries. Also coordinate team members, present ideas, and solutions to both prospective and existing clients
    • Enhance key reputation with High-Net-Worth individuals and their influencers
    • Lead or participate in the closing of new business
    • Ensure the implementation of Trust policies and procedures in line with the company’s strategic objectives
    • Ensure proper documentation of all Trust Relationships and effectively maintain Trust files
    • Maintain compliance with all internal policies and procedures as well as with regulatory and legal requirements
    • Mitigate risk on individual book of business 
    • Contribute to the development of new Trust products and develop proposals for prospects 
    • Ensure the proper investment of funds held under Trustee or Nominee arrangement
    • Ability to assess client’s needs and adapt products to meet client’s needs and deliver them with credibility and confidence

    Requirements

    Educational Requirement:    

    • Law Degree, preferably in Company/Business Law 

    Professional Qualification:    

    • Professional qualification in Law and/or Banking/Asset Management, MBA would be an added advantage

    Cognate Experience:    

    • A minimum of five to eight (8) years’ experience in the Trustee and Financial Services industry with experience in Private, Corporate and Public Trust

    Trust Officer, Lagos / Abuja / Port Harcourt

    Job Summary

    • To assist in coordinating the Organization’s activities in the Northern Nigeria by brokering Trustees Transactions and providing a Legal Framework for such deals.

    Job Details

    •  Identify, initiate, and broker Trustee transactions across the region.
    • Provide legal frameworks and advisory support for trust-related deals.
    • Coordinate the Organization's activities in the assigned region ensuring alignment with the Trust Department's overall objectives.
    • Supervise the execution of trustee mandates, including documentation, due diligence, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients in the region, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to structure and close transactions.
    • Prepare and submit periodic reports on regional activities, transaction pipelines, and business performance.
    • Ensure all transactions comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

    Requirements

    Educational Requirements:    

    • First Degree in Law, Marketing, Business Administration and Accounting from reputable Universities

    Cognate Experience:    

    Must be currently engaged in any of the following.

    • Trustee Company as a Trust Officer - a minimum of 3-5 years post NYSC experience.
    • Investment Banking and must have participated in transactions involving Trustees with a minimum of 5 years post NYSC experience.
    • Commercial Law Firm and must have been involved in drafting transaction documents with a clear understanding of duties of Trustees- minimum of 3 - 5 years post NYSC experience.
