    Admin and Logistics Assistant (Volunteer)

    Duration: 6 months (extendable)

    Job Description

    • The Administrative and Logistics Assistant will be responsible for providing efficient support and ensure success of procurement and logistic activities, while providing efficient utilization of resources in accordance with applicable standards.

    Responsibilities

    Admin Tasks:

    • Prepare documentation, materials, refreshments for meetings and workshops/trainings were necessary.
    • Handle travels arrangements for local and international guests including lodging, meal planning if required.
    • Provide all administrative and logistical support to the team to ensure timely completion of activities as per the work plan.
    • Make timely arrangement to maintain internet faults, office building, furniture, fittings and equipment in coordination and field offices.

    Logistics Tasks:

    • Assess and organize logistics in terms of transport requirements, receipt, handling, storage and distribution of supplies and establish proper warehousing and recording systems.
    • Responsible for tracking, receiving, and stocking all items ordered.
    • Ensure materials are appropriately stored.
    • Program the final inventory of materials prior to distribution to the survey sites.
    • Provide a list of all equipment stored and distributed to the survey sites.
    • Manage and maintain inventory to operating levels to avoid unnecessary supply.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management / Management Studies, or any other related field. Previous survey based administrative and logistical support experience is an added advantage.

    • Ability to respond effectively to time sensitive demands and inquiries.
    • Must be able to plan, prioritize, and manage their own activities and office workflow even when working under tight deadlines.

    Health Assistant (Volunteer)

    Basic Function

    Assist the Health program department in providing technical assistance to improve the delivery and quality of general health interventions to ensure effective contribution to the project performance.

    The HR Assistant will assist the HR Officer to recruit, support and develop talent through developing policies and managing procedures. S/he will also be responsible for administrative tasks and contribute to making the organization a better place to work.

    WASH Assistant (Volunteer)

    Job Description

    • The WASH Assistant will be responsible for the implementation of CBI WASH infrastructure program in Bauchi.
    • The WASH Assistant’s primary function is to ensure quality of the planning, implementation and follow up of WASH activities being implemented by CBI. Specifically, the WASH Assistant is expected to conduct the day to day implementation of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene activities especially in the areas of intervention in Bauchi.

    Responsibilities

    • To carry out Need and technical assessment for all type of WASH infrastructures.
    • Preparation and Submission of order requests as per policies and procedures.
    • To conduct trainings regarding operation and maintenance of water supply and sanitation facilities for beneficiaries and water management committees.
    • Organize and implement hygiene promotion training as required.
    • Liaise and secure consent from the local authorities and beneficiary prior to intervention.

    Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant (Volunteer)

    Job Summary

    • The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Assistant is responsible for monitoring operations of projects’ activities implementation and support program management and accountability functions.
    • He/she contributes toward the relevance, effectiveness and efficiency of the Design, Monitoring, & Evaluation (DME) unit as well as overall programming process.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop monitoring and impact indicators for the activities/project success
    • Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results

    • The FINANCE Assistant will be responsible for the implementation of CBI FINANCE program in Bauchi.
    • The FINANCE Assistant is in charge of keeping track of an organization’s finances. S/he enters data into databases, prepare financial statements, process invoices and support other employees throughout accounting processes implemented by CBI.

    Responsibilities

    • Update financial spreadsheets with daily transactions.
    • Prepare balance sheets.
    • Track and reconcile bank statements.
    • Process Tax payments.
    • Records accounts payable and receivable.
    • Provide administrative support during budget preparation.

    Program Assistant - Trafficking in Person

    Duration: 6 months (extendable)

    Core Functions / Responsibilities

    • Inception report, including detailed Work plan and methodology (training slides and participant workbook)
    • Facilitate training, for key partners working with returned migrants to strengthen their capacity on different research methodologies, including conducting and implementation of KAP studies using standard approach.
    • Conduct brainstorming session with team and other stakeholders to develop research questions, methodology, and data collection tools for operational research.

    Required Qualifications and Experience
    Education:

    • Advanced Degree in Social Sciences, Research, Statistics, Economics, and/or Monitoring and Evaluation
    • 0 - 2 years or more of experience in conducting evaluations and large-scale qualitative and quantitative studies with international organizations focused on trafficking in persons and or/ smuggling of migrants

    Experience:

    • Demonstrated Knowledge/experience in developing training curriculum and facilitating trainings on research and conducting KAP studies.
    • Demonstrated experience in conducting published migration related research, preferably on the prevention of trafficking in persons and smuggling of migrants
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Previous working experience in the West African region or Nigeria desirable.

    Job Description

    • The NUTRITION Assistant will be responsible for the implementation of CBI NUTRITION program in Bauchi.
    • The NUTRITION Assistant assist nutrition or dietetic staff with a complete Nutritional program (Nutrition assessment, Nutrition counselling and other duties involved in Nutrition) and other activities implemented by CBI in the affected locations.

    Responsibilities

    Protection Assistant - GBV (Volunteer)

    Job Description

    • The Protection Assistant will directly support the Protection Officer in the development, administration and implementation of the CBI’s protection program in Bauchi, both on a daily basis and with a long-term strategic perspective. The responsibilities and activities of the Protection Program Officer will be extensive and fluid, depending on the shifting needs of the program, and are likely to include but not be limited to those described below.

    Responsibilities

    • Undertake Protection monitoring activities
    • Identify protection gaps and interventions;
    • Organize/actively participate in the Regional and State Protection Working Group and other relevant meetings
    • Organize/facilitate relevant protection training activities:
    • Liaise with relevant line ministries and commissions in order to foster partnerships and encourage national interest and ownership in protection of concerned persons
    • Provide support, guidance and assistance to protection and field staff in all the field offices on protection priorities, issues and concerns.
    • Perform other duties as may be required.

    Qualifications

    • Law Degree (LLB, LLM, JD) or post-graduate degree in international law, human rights, social sciences or a related field is preferred.
    • Minimum of 1 year programming experience with relevant working experience.
    • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
