Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced HR professional to combine hands-on HR Business Partnering with company-wide responsibility for Employee Relations, Industrial Relations, and Employee Communications in a dynamic offshore logistics environment.
The role supports line leaders on people matters while serving as the organization’s focal point for union engagement, workforce relations, and internal communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as HR Business Partner to assigned business units, advising managers on performance, discipline, capability, and workforce planning.
Lead all Employee and Industrial Relations activities, including union engagement, grievance handling, disciplinary processes, and dispute resolution.
- Support management in a unionized offshore operating environment, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
- Develop and deliver clear internal employee communications, including leadership messages, policy updates, and change communications.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor law, collective agreements, and company policies.
- Provide ER risk insights and regular updates to senior management.
Qualifications, Skills and Experiences
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Industrial Relations, Law, or a related field; professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, CIPD) is an advantage.
Experience
- 7–10 years’ HR experience with strong exposure to HR Business Partnering and ER/IR.
- Proven experience managing unions and complex employee relations matters.
- Experience in offshore logistics, marine services, oil & gas support, or a similarly unionised environment preferred.
- Strong communication, judgement, and stakeholder management skills.

We are seeking a seasoned HR leader to provide senior HR Business Partnering to a defined client population while owning company-wide responsibility for HR policy, performance management, HR shared services, and total reward.
The role operates at the heart of the business, balancing strategic advisory input with strong governance, cost discipline, and operational execution in a safety-critical offshore logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted HR adviser to senior leaders on people strategy, organization design, performance, and workforce planning.
- Own and govern all HR policies, ensuring consistency and compliance with Nigerian labor law.
- Lead the design and operation of the performance management framework, including goal setting and performance–reward linkage.
- Oversee HR shared services, including payroll, HR administration, data integrity, and service standards.
Lead total reward strategy covering salary structures, incentives, benefits, and annual reward cycles.
- Provide workforce cost, performance, and reward insights to senior management.
Qualifications, Skills and Experiences
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Economics, or a related discipline; Master’s degree or professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM-SCP, CIPD) preferred.
Experience
- 12–15 years’ progressive HR experience, including senior HR Business Partnering.
- Proven experience leading HR policy, performance management, reward, and HR operations/shared services.
- Experience in offshore logistics, marine services, oil & gas support, or a similarly complex, regulated environment is an advantage.
- Strong commercial acumen, governance mindset, and senior stakeholder influencing skills.
