    Griller

    Job Summary

    • The Griller will be responsible for preparing grilled dishes to perfection, ensuring excellent taste, texture, and presentation. 
    • The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of grilling techniques, food safety, and kitchen hygiene practices.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare and grill meats, poultry, and other menu items according to established recipes and customer preferences.
    • Ensure all grilled items are cooked to the appropriate temperature and presented attractively.
    • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the grilling area and overall kitchen.
    • Monitor inventory of grilling supplies and ingredients, and report when restocking is needed.
    • Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
    • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely food service.
    • Inspect grilling equipment regularly and report any issues for maintenance.
    • Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience as a griller or cook in a restaurant or food service environment.
    • Knowledge of various grilling techniques and equipment.

    Chef

    Primary Role

    • The Chef will be responsible for preparing a variety of high-quality meals, managing kitchen operations, and maintaining excellent hygiene and safety standards. 
    • The ideal candidate should be creative, passionate about cooking, and committed to delivering an exceptional dining experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes in line with the restaurant’s menu and customer preferences.
    • Ensure all meals are prepared with high-quality ingredients and presented attractively.
    • Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate all food preparation activities.
    • Monitor food inventory levels and order supplies when necessary.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen environment at all times.
    • Plan menus and suggest new recipes to keep offerings fresh and appealing.
    • Ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
    • Conduct regular inspections of the kitchen and storage areas to identify potential hazards.
    • Enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in the kitchen.
    • Train kitchen staff on food safety standards and proper kitchen practices.
    • Implement measures to improve kitchen safety and reduce risks.

    Requirements

    • A Diploma or Certification in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
    • Proven experience working as a chef or cook in a restaurant or food service environment.
    • In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and cuisines.
    • Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene regulations.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.

    Assistant Chef

    Primary Role

    • The Assistant Chef will support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. 
    • The ideal candidate should be eager to learn, hardworking, and passionate about food service.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in preparing and cooking meals as directed by the Head Chef.
    • Wash, chop, and store ingredients properly.
    • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen at all times.
    • Help monitor food inventory and report shortages.
    • Ensure all food items are prepared in compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
    • Assist in plating and serving food during peak periods.
    • Support in receiving and storing kitchen supplies.
    • Follow all kitchen procedures and assist in enforcing food safety protocols.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of SSCE or equivalent; culinary training is an added advantage.
    • Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred.
    • Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety.
    • Ability to take direction and work well in a team.
    • Good communication and time-management skills.
    • Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
