    Executive Housekeeper

    The Wells Carlton Hotel & Apartments (TWCH&A) is a luxury hotel offering guests a perfect blend of relaxation, business, and pleasure, delicately infused to meet the highest international standards. It is located in Asokoro District, in Abuja. We are looking for strategists, hands-on leaders, and exemplary managers to oversee a professional team of specialists and ensure they deliver outstanding results to the company, in the following positions:

    1.      : Candidate will be responsible for supervising the housekeeping operations and delegating tasks to the housekeeping staff. The core duties include but are not limited to:

    • Handle budgeting and control on all housekeeping expenses.
    • Coordinate the preventive maintenance schedule of rooms and public areas with Head, Maintenance.
    • Oversee all housekeeping and laundry facilities and ensure a secure germ-free environment for guests.
    • Development and periodic review of cleaning protocol, analyse all competition businesses and plan all schedule for spring cleaning and pest control and perform regular audit on same and ensure compliance to all loss and found procedures.
    • Devise daily deployment of housekeepers based on hotel occupancy, arrivals and departures.

    Head, Maintenance

    To direct, coordinate and perform routine, preventive and emergency interior/exterior maintenance and repairs to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of hotel operations. The core duties include but are not limited to:

    • Troubleshoot maintenance issues and act on complaints on a timely basis.
    • Identify ways to conserve energy and reduce facility operating costs.
    • Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
    • Prepare the department’s budget and ensure it is being followed.
    • Maximise the maintenance team’s potential with a balanced focus on operations, guests, employees, and the Board’s satisfaction.
    • Ensure property grounds, physical plant and work areas are maintained to standard and that all safety equipment conditions are to up to code.
    • Develop routine and preventative maintenance strategies to ensure that the entire facility is kept operational.
    • Familiarity with the inner workings of a hotel (e.g. plumbing, electrical, ac/refrigeration, waste management).

    Person Requirements

    • Experience in administrative processes (e.g. budgeting, coaching/mentoring, recruitment, performance management).
    • Ability to identify role-specific risks and quickly develop a plan of action.
    • Problem-solving aptitude, particularly under pressure.
    • Excellent leadership, analytical and organisational skills.
    • Result and detail-oriented with an eye for perfection and a thirst for excellent service delivery.
    • Ability to work long hours on your feet.
