    Head, Human Resources / Admin

    Job Description

    • Provide HR goals in line with Group objectives
    • Identify resource demands and gaps in the organization
    • Support other management staff in ways to improve performance
    • Develop and implement succession planning strategies
    • Manpower sourcing, recruitment and placement
    • Learning and development
    • Effective payroll administration
    • Performance appraisal and management, and career management
    • Reward, recognition, retention and exit
    • Management problem-solving skills
    • Procurement sourcing and stock management
    • Any other assigned task
    • Provide strong leadership to enable effective delivery of HR strategy across the business
    • Lead and motivate the team to deliver departmental objectives
    • Recruit high-calibre staff to fill vacancies within the bank
    • Accountable for all matters concerning employment legislation
    • Monitoring and ensuring proper implementation of and compliance with approved HR policies and procedures across divisions and departments/units

    Requirements

    • B.Sc. or its equivalent preferably in the Social Sciences
    • Additional qualification/certification in human resources or personnel management will be an advantage
    • Adequate understanding of labour laws and regulations
    • A minimum of 8 years post-graduation practical experience in human resources and administration while 5 years must be in financial service industry
    • Evidence that the candidate possesses proven skills and competences in practical microfinance banking and has undergone the Microfinance Certification programme and obtained a Certificate in Microfinance banking issued by the Chartered Institute of bankers of Nigeria (CIBN)
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Adequate computer skills – MS Office, Excel, etc

    Head, Accounts

    Job Description

    • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
      • Month and end-year process
      • Accounts payable/receivable
      • Cash receipts
      • General ledger
      • Payroll and utilities
      • Treasury, budgeting
      • Cash forecasting
      • Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
      • Capital assets reconciliations
      • Cheque processing
      • Fixed asset activity
      • Debt activity
    • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
    • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
    • Coordinate and complete annual audits
    • Provide recommendations
    • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
    • Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
    • Meet financial accounting objectives
    • Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
    • Collate and consolidate trial balance and financial reports
    • Prepare comprehensive, proactive and timely financial and management information including tax, cash flow and statutory accounts
    • Publish the quarterly CBN returns
    • Drive the financial efficiency of the bank
    • Develop and own key financial processes including budgeting, internal control, financial accounting and reconciliation
    • Ensure the full and prompt implementation of internal and external audit recommendations
    • Liaise with the CBN and other regulatory agencies
    • Responsible for bank account reconciliations
    • Maintain fixed asset register and ensure the documentation of capital expenditure to meet tax and other regulatory requirements
    • Liaise with the internal and external auditors.

    Education and Experience

    • B.Sc. Degree in Accounting or its equivalent
    • Qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAN) - ACA
    • Additional qualifications in a business-related field will be an advantage
    • Proven work experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager
    • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
    • Computer skills - MS Office, Excel, Accounting Software, etc.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to direct and supervise staff
    • A minimum of 8 years post-graduation experience while 5 years must be in the financial service industry
    • Evidence that the candidate possesses proven skills and competencies in practical microfinance banking and has undergone the Microfinance Certification programme and obtained a Certificate in Microfinance banking issued by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).

    Head, Credit / Marketing

    Job Description

    • Generally oversee the articulation and execution of the bank's marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with the overall corporate strategy, goals and objectives
    • Provide guidance, leadership support and direction to the Marketing team
    • Build the bank's profile and brand image in the market through sustained campaigns
    • Manage the entire credit application process, right from login to disbursement to recovery
    • Lead the design and implementation of all marketing strategies to achieve the goals for all the microfinance banking products
    • Drive timely and successful development and implementation of the banking product and service ideas which are key to business performance and growth
    • Manage quality loan portfolio of the bank
    • Co-operate with legal, technical, risk management, and loan recovery units to ensure a healthy loan portfolio
    • Ensure visitation to the customer’s place of business before loan disbursement
    • Appraise the loans initiated by the marketers/credit officers and recommend them to the Management Credit Committee
    • Monitor compliance with loan repayment terms.
    • Deliver loan target
    • Prevent delinquent loans
    • Monitor repayment of delinquent loans
    • Monitor compliance with laid down procedures for loan portfolio management.
