    Housekeeping Room Attendant

    Position Overview

    • The Hotel Room Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel rooms.
    • They are responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
    • The Hotel Room Attendant will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to creating a positive and memorable experience for hotel guests.

    Responsibilities

    • Clean and sanitize assigned hotel rooms and bathrooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and making beds.
    • Ensure that all amenities and supplies are replenished in the rooms, such as towels, toiletries, and linens.
    • Report any maintenance or repair issues in the rooms to the appropriate department.
    • Follow established procedures for handling and disposing of waste and hazardous materials.
    • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests or complaints, and take appropriate action to resolve any issues.
    • Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while interacting with guests, providing exceptional customer service at all times.
    • Adhere to all safety and security procedures, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
    • Collaborate with other hotel staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
    • Maintain confidentiality and respect guest privacy at all times.
    • Attend training sessions and meetings as required.

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • 2+ years relevant work experience.
    • Prior experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry is preferred.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Good physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks.
    • Exceptional customer service skills and a positive attitude.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.

    Hotel Financial Accountant

    Position Overview

    • The Hotel Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities and ensuring the effective management of financial resources within a hotel in Nigeria.
    • This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting.
    • The Financial Controller will play a crucial role in providing accurate financial information to support decision-making processes and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

    Responsibilities

    • Financial Management: Oversee all financial activities of the hotel, including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard assets, optimize cash flow, and minimize financial risk.
    • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Provide accurate and timely financial reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and variances from budgets.
    • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor budget performance throughout the year, identify areas of concern, and provide recommendations for cost control and revenue enhancement.
    • Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal control systems to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of financial data. Conduct periodic internal audits to identify potential areas of improvement and address any deficiencies.
    • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, laws, and reporting requirements. Keep abreast of changes in accounting standards and implement necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.
    • Cash Management: Oversee cash flow management, including the monitoring of daily cash balances, banking transactions, and cash forecasting. Implement effective treasury management practices to optimize working capital and minimize financing costs.
    • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to evaluate the hotel's performance and identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue growth, and operational efficiency improvements. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to support management decision-making.
    • Team Management: Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is highly desirable.
    • 3+ years relevant work experience.
    • Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role in the hotel industry.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis techniques, and budgeting processes.
    • Experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports.
    • Proficiency in financial management software and systems (e.g., ERP systems, Excel).
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
    • Knowledge of Nigerian financial regulations and reporting requirements.
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
    • Integrity and high ethical standards.
